Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

The new electric animatronics have limitations of their own. They can't stop on a dime like the old animatronics could. That is why they look so overanimated and wavy (like one of those inflatable tube things next to car washes that dance in the wind). The only real benefit to the A1000...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

I respect the picks, but neither of those are bastions of thorough storytelling or animatronics. Maybe compared to the crap we get these days, but compared to something like Splash that had 100 animatronics and a storyline that was told well (an absolute rarity for a theme park attraction...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

It’s genuinely baffling that they didn’t keep the Geese scene considering they replaced them with absolutely nothing on both coasts. They could’ve redressed them and brought Jess Harnell back to record vocals for a new rendition of “Going Down the Bayou”. There’s your Splash reference and it has...

Rumor Tokyo Disneyland Splash Mountain Retheme Discussion

I wouldn’t be hitting the panic button over this. Closing this small shop is likely due to saving on labour costs for a store that just sells a small quantity of generic park merch. Mickey’s Gift Station at the TTC closed for similar reasons. No reason to keep the store open if Disney isn’t...

Dude...there were 15 animatronics there and they replaced it with darkness and a screen. What animatronics are outside besides the one Tiana in the lift barn?

Dead space isn't inherently bad. That being said, I don't know anyone that would unironically prefer the TBA approach of pure darkness compared to the Spalsh approach of detailed critter houses and cartoony props.

How is it worse??? How is that even possible?

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I had the fish and chips, which seemed like a safe bet. Worst fish and chips I have ever had. Maybe the worst theme park meal I ever had. I would have been better off eating out of a dumpster.

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I think if you are just comparing the basic theme park burger, the one at Universal is much more edible than the one at Disney. The one at Disney isn't even on an equal playing field to a McDonald's burger. Then you have the burgers and chicken sandwiches at Fast Food Boulevard which are a cut...

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Every time I go to MK, I struggle with what to eat because everything is so terrible. When I went to USF a few times last year, I was actively seeking out FFB for lunch. Maybe it's the special sauces they put on the burgers and sandwiches.

Most of these are horrible. Columbia House serves barf on a plate. Casey's at least has good corn dog bites.

I feel like there would be actual public interest in a movie about a purple dragon.

That’s not exactly correct. They ripped Down in New Orleans, Almost There, and Going Down the Bayou from the film….mostly. It seems like they added a few extra drumbeats and swapped an instrument or two to avoid paying UMG licensing fees. Now as for the “new”, the did record some new...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

To be perfectly honest, the music was the biggest disappointment about this retheme. I think it’s fair to consider Splash Mountain the theme park equivalent of a musical. The songs were bombastic and told a complete story. The lyrics were snappy and the music was something you’d enjoy listening...
