Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

To that point, since the animatronic reveal it has been mentioned twice in this thread that there is a Disney+ show about Tiana on the way. The safe bet is that the current look is consistent with the upcoming show, not the movie.

News Disneyland Character Performers Look to Unionize With Actors’ Equity

I see Disney Jr. was mentioned as the chief casualty. It is rumored that it also prevented droids from making daily appearances at Galaxy's Edge.

News Disneyland Character Performers Look to Unionize With Actors’ Equity

I was thinking about this as I read the thread headline. I doubt Disney would ever get rid of characters, but I imagine their roles would be greatly reduced. Parades would likely be hit hardest.

Galaxy's Edge: History, Current State, and Future

I read a few reviews and scrolled through some pictures, after which I couldn't muster the enthusiasm to watch the full experience footage that bloggers were posting. Surprising to learn that there was even less to it than I was led to believe.

Galaxy's Edge: History, Current State, and Future

I had no idea there were so few! Chalk it up to another missed opportunity.

Galaxy's Edge: History, Current State, and Future

I like what I'm hearing so far, here's what I would address: The biggest issue I feel, especially comparing it to Wizarding World, is that the land is in need of a more energetic atmosphere. I haven't been to the park enough to notice that the ambient sound effects were silenced, but they need...

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

Brushing aside network agendas, I'd enjoy seeing this vote circulated on national news . The odds of a policy change are right below the return of the Peoplemover, but this sort of attention is the only kind that gets theirs. It will never return to what it was, but the guest experience needs to...

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

"I Want You Back" ties with "Free Ride" as the best in my book. Love the song "Give Up The Funk," and thought it was a fun choice, but as you said, it's the weakest drop profile.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

Ah, thank you, I wasn't thinking toon enough.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

Since this thread has gotten a second wind, I have a question about the final scene in the ride. I got a chance to experience it in December and am a little confused as to how we riders got from a factory to the park in the blink of an eye. I must have missed something. Can anyone shed light on...

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

I couldn't say, but here is the cryptic post for your assessment:

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

It seems ideal to me as well, situated on the outskirts of the park. It feels right that Galaxy's Edge and presumably Avatar land would be placed together outside the traditional borders of Disneyland.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

Food for thought, in another thread Truecoat seems to imply that Disneyland's Avatar expansion will go in the rectangular portion of your red outline.

Disneyland Resort - New Entry Gates Incoming?

I wonder then, are traditional metal detectors are more accurate than the new scanners?

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

Admittedly, it would be consistent with Disney’s contemporary policies regarding guest convenience such as reservations, fastpass fees, and lottery systems. Now I would have to take time off work for my visit as well!

Interesting trade off, but I'll concede that makes for a better family photo.

    The Downtown Disney Thread

The Coke Vs. Pepsi rivalry has always amused me because I'm the oddball that enjoys both. They have different flavors, but there's nothing really wrong with either of them. It's just a matter of what I'm craving at the time. The good news is that the public has likewise rejected Sierra Mist and...
