    Disney CEOs as Michael Scott

I didn't really understand the connection to the Disney CEOs, but I just wanted to say that I do love me some Michael Scott.

My next trip will be my last for a while…

Some of the financial complaints are valid. For those with lesser means, that's a legitimate gripe. Like I said earlier, there are IMO better options, particularly with smaller children. But see my last post. Disney is a monstrous corporation. ? At the end of the day, for my family, Disney...

My next trip will be my last for a while…

Sorry, but it's just mind-boggling to me folks are apparently so displeased with the product yet hang around these parts. And for the record, Disney isn't perfect. I'm far from an apologist or some obsessed fan. Quite the opposite actually. I haven't been since the pandemic simply because for...

My next trip will be my last for a while…

Precisely. It's like a bad relationship. If it's not working out, leave. But hanging around and complaining about it while you stay in the relationship isn't going to make it better. At the end of the day, Disney is supposed to be fun. No one "needs" it. If it doesn't bring you enjoyment any...

    Right, "shut up and dribble."

My next trip will be my last for a while…

Disney is a hobby of sorts (or a vacation, depending on how you want to look at it). Regardless, if the hobby or vacation doesn't bring you much enjoyment any longer, then quit it and find something that does. But whining on a Disney message board because it doesn't fit your political views is...

My next trip will be my last for a while…

It is so ironic to hear folks moan and complain about Disney . . . on a Disney fan forum.

Hey! Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge?

LOL. You and I are the same. I bring a French press and some pre-ground beans.

    Best Disney Springs Restaurant?

I've only eaten at Frontera and STK. Frontera was fantastic. STK . . . meh. I was with a large group/conference so I had no choice as to STK, but it's the last place I'd eat at Disney. There is nothing unique about a steakhouse chain, particularly when most folks likely have similar choices at home.

The Swan - Best View and Dining

Bluezoo has always been fantastic. I have not been since covid, but prior to covid, we had routinely gone each and every trip for years and it was always an exceptional meal. The oysters are remarkably fresh, the wine list is extensive, appetizers are great, and its an "adult-ish" environment...

    Wilderness Lodge Oct 1 Advice

I've Ubered to the Contemporary before without any issues and done the walk. I'm not sure if there are any measures in place to prevent that now. Maybe someone else has more current info? Regardless, I imagine you can find a work around with the Uber driver.

    Wilderness Lodge Oct 1 Advice

You staying at the cabins or the lodge? If it's the cabin, the transportation there is much slower than the lodge. Regardless, consider an Uber if you don't mind paying a little extra.

[Rumor] Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Olivia Rodrigo

I hear you, but if Disney were to hypothetically look for a more recent band, you also risk losing a big chunk of people that might not find a more modern band interesting or relevant or know who they are. Music is so subjective. Aerosmith is at least a name that likely most can identify.

Disney World Rain Queue Stoppage? (Angry)

And if Disney had forced folks out of the ride into the rainy weather, someone would complain about that and how the Disney experience is no longer "magical." Sucky all the way around but I'm not sure what Disney can do w/o offending or upsetting someone.

[Rumor] Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Olivia Rodrigo

Aerosmith from the 70s and 80s is definitely classic rock or hard rock. That said, someone could make a case that the "Get a Grip" album was venturing out into the pop rock mold. I don't know what Aerosmith has done since 2000, but I'd certainly put "I don't want to miss a thing" squarely in...

    California Grill Question

I don't know the answer but I have an alternate suggestion: Capa at the Four Seasons. It's pricier (and far better) than California Grill but my family got quite a treat a couple years ago when we were able to observe the fireworks from two of the parks going off at the same time. I'm not...

Wilderness Lodge vs Beach Club for short trip

I'll be a dissenter here. Both are fantastic resorts. But on a short stay, at Beach Club, you can walk to Epcot and boat to Hollywood Studios. That cuts down significantly on transportation time from the WL. But either way, you can't go wrong.

I unfortunately have not made it there yet, but if the chefs' primary restaurant (Ravenous Pig) is an indicator, do it!

Long stay- split or same room?

If you have small children, I'd avoid a split stay. But if you're packing super light and don't mind the extra hassle, might be fun.

Swan & Dolphin Dining - Thoughts?

Absolutely. Bluezoo is excellent. Think Vegas in Disney--that's the vibe. That said, I haven't been since covid and the menu looks quite stripped down now. Also, don't forget that you are on the Boardwalk. Once Flying Fish reopens (when, I don't know but I hope soon?), that's also another...
