Watching the hurricane coverage many are saying they stayed because it wasn't going to hit them AND they had pets. I was surprised how not all shelters and hotels allowed pets.

Really? If I have spent thousands, planned, did their reservation system only to be held at the door but resort guest get in? If the roads are that flood and dangerous then, for the sake of their cast, they shouldn't open at all.
I believe it was 60 minutes that did a story on how Huston Tx is constantly rebuilding houses in the flood plains and the flood insurance is provided by the Federal Government. The government cost was astronomical and the point was it's unsustainable.
My kids in celebration have power and internet, water came in thru the front door. Their friends in winter park have no power, yard flooded, water on the first floor and sewer not working.
So I'm in the north but have 2 of my kids in Celebration, what do think the chance of them losing power? Someone posted that their lines are underground but what about the grid?
