Something new coming to the West Side

This is absolutely correct. IMO, the flavor of a fresh cut and fried potato is more important to me than the crispy blanched and refried fry. Disney could never allow a Five Guys on property though....could you imagine the problems it would cause since they are so sensitive to allergies...

Something new coming to the West Side

Having been to Five Guys, In and Out, and Shake Shack.....I agree. Although, Shackburgers already cost about $7.50 or $8.00, they'd probably be $15 at DS. How about Shake Shack Burgers but Five Guys Fries....that is a concept I could get behind.

    A Spirited Valentine ...

Perlmutter hasn't been in charge of Marvel studios for awhile, as Kevin Feige reports directly up the chain to Iger. He still has control of Marvel Entertainment which oversees all TV (and Netflix content) as far as I know.

    DAK Pandora nighttime emh

Some people come on here to read the discussion and get the info, but don't feel the need to engage in the topic at hand. Why is that a big deal? Also, some login so they can fire up the ignore feature..

News Wishes to be replaced with new 'Happily Ever After' nighttime spectacular

Define irony: telling someone that they shouldn't be caused any stress by their dissenting opinion, while calling someone else's dissenting opinion a "fanboi BS notion."

News Wishes to be replaced with new 'Happily Ever After' nighttime spectacular

Could your analogy be a little more hyperbolic? We get it you like Wishes better.

News Wishes to be replaced with new 'Happily Ever After' nighttime spectacular

Contemporary music doesn't bother me here, and the argument for timelessness is, I think a little unnecessary for a show that is meant to be a temporary placeholder. If all the experts are correct, this show is not intended to last for a decade or more. It is not my favorite type of music...

Paint the night is not moving to Disney World. Stop bumping this.

There is a difference between posting a rumor (however unfounded it might be) or posting something offensive, inflammatory, or needlessly argumentative. One of those two options would be a ban-able offense, the other, not so much methinks, even if you do find it irritating. I'll let everyone...

    Replacement for Tomorrowland Speedway?

I agree with you quite often on here, and have openly lamented the kneejerk negativity of this board. However, Martin is right, as someone who doesn't care whether the speedway comes or goes and was never bothered by it, as someone who has been to more short track auto races than I dare to...

    Mission:Space update (confirmed)

Let me expand, because I don't think I was clear in my point. Guardians is not the problem. I like Guardians of the Galaxy and the second one looks like a lot of fun. I am looking forward to seeing it for exactly what it is going to be, a fun popcorn movie. Hoping it sucks, so that they don't...

    Mission:Space update (confirmed)

So we live in a world now where we actively hope a movie that could be a lot of fun to go watch is terrible and bombs, because some idiots in suits may decide to re-theme a ride based on the IP. I think we need to get a grip.

Rapid Fill Mug Program Fails (at more ways than you might think)

I didn't say there wouldn't be som True, however you would even find such policies in place for small things like taking candy at a convenience store. There should be a mechanism in place for CMs to respond or call someone who can respond. However, I also think you are comparing apples to...

Rapid Fill Mug Program Fails (at more ways than you might think)

Most retail and F & B establishments that have multiple units (in other words corporate structure and not a Mom and Pop) have policies which discourage regular line staff from confronting thieves or shoplifters directly for many reasons: liability, danger, lack of experience...etc. There were...

Disney testing new Express Fresh in-room dining

I am as disappointed in Disney as a whole when it comes to their theme park operations as anyone, and am really hoping that at some point they begin to live up to the high standards they themselves pioneered in the hospitality industry. However the knee-jerk negativity to any new offering is...

Disney springs not doing so well.....

Even if Art of Disney still had unique items (which I can neither confirm nor deny since I haven't really looked around the store lately) I don't think it would matter much since you need people to know it's there and walk back to it. I don't think it is going to drive traffic way back in that...

Disney springs not doing so well.....

This is purely anecdotal, however I was at the Springs two nights last week (Monday and Wednesday). Foot traffic in the Landing and the West Side was very heavy. The restaurants that I looked into were all full (including STK, Homecoming...Frontera). The bar level of the Coke Store was empty...

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

The previews and soft-openings would most likely happen for a few weeks before there is a big "announced" Grand Opening with all the hoopla. For most stuff at Disney for the last 2 decades, things are open before they are "OPEN".

Sorry....meant to say that I think most of the status changes go into effect in December.

A Spirited Summer Special (AKA Phil Holmes Takes Anaheim!)

The requirements for non-exempt status have changed as well. It isn't just salary level, but certain "types" of jobs are no longer exempt anymore, even if they reach the (I think) $47,000 salary threshold. While this wouldn't necessarily effect management, as they would have the job...
