What seems more crazy to me is that you are spending $700 a night for a hotel room... yikes!

I would do it just because staying at a Deluxe is something that I will not be doing very often, if ever. The construction would stink but I'm sure that the Poly will be just fine during that time.

Yup, you can switch. My family of three all had FP's for Everest at AK and my wife and daughter did not want to ride, so I rode solo using my band, then got off, took my wife's band and went right back on. Then when I got off the second time, I proceeded to puke in the nearest bathroom.

Don't give up! I snagged FP's for this about one week before our trip this past May. I was on MDE checking like 5-10 times a day but it did pay off...
