    Kilimanjaro Safari

I agree. The Lion King should have more stuff in the parks. But in all honesty, there are so many movies that should have awesome rides that don't. Imagine how incredible they could do a Lion King ride, possibly a boat ride like pirates. Or an incredible Beauty and the Beast epic dark ride...

The Top 5 Things I Miss Most about Disneyworld

I miss... 1. The original little haunted mansion gift shop 2. The Main Street Magic Shop 3. Kitchen Kabaret 4. The first week in December being a ghost town 5. The little one-person speed boats that you could rent from the Poly or Contemporary 6. World of Motion 7. The original Living Seas 8...

    DINOSAUR Refurb?

This was my exact experience last year. I had ridden the original ride back in the day many times and loved it. Last year I took my daughter and wife (who had never ridden it) and we literally just jerked back and forth and up and down in pitch black for the entire ride, listening to the...

What was the best year to visit WDW?

I LOVED THAT GAME ROOM!!! That place used to be as much of a highlight of my trip as the Magic Kingdom was! Plus, I was 10 in 1983 when video game arcades were really becoming a big thing. I would wander around that place for hours with a pocket full of quarters. Remember the awesome...

    Pre park routines.....

Exactly how I feel. My daughter and I are dressed and ready while my wife is still in the shower. We usually go down to the resort restaurant and eat breakfast while my wife finishes getting ready. If it was up to me, we would be out of the room by 7:30 every morning.

What was the best year to visit WDW?

I would have to say right around 1990. EPCOT Center was only 8 years old and still at the peak of it's glory days. MGM Studio's had just opened in 1989 and it was new and fresh, and a must-see for us on all of our trips. And the Magic Kingdom was just awesome being the Magic Kingdom. Also...

WDW: On-Property ENTIRE Time or Broken Up?

This is EXACTLY how I feel. Once the car is parked, it sits in the lot until the day that we have to pack it to leave. I don't care if I can get to the Magic Kingdom quicker with my car than taking a bus, I'm taking a bus. I don't care if I can get to Downtown Disney quicker with my car, I'm...

    EPCOT 1980,s video touch screen

I remember these very well! As a 9 year old on my first trip to EPCOT, I was blown away by these. And being able to make a dining reservation FOR THE SAME DAY is as mind blowing as the touch screen's themselves! I would also stand in Communicore and play games on the touch screens for hours...

    Arrival Day at your Resort.....

We always arrive on a Sunday, around 2 or 3. We check in at POFQ, head to our room, immediately turn on the tv to the Disney parks channel, and unpack and set things up. Then we hop on the boat and head to DTD. Walk around for a bit, dinner at T-Rex, then dessert at Ghiradelli's. Back to our...

Driving over to GF for 1900 park fare dinner~is it possible?

This is true... just did it last week! Drover over from French Quarter and parked in the self-parking lot at the GF. Then caught the boat over to the MK.

Any popular WDW restaurants you just don't get the appeal of?

Nope, the lunch was fantastic... best QS in the park in my opinion.

    T-Rex

Every trip we go on, we start the first night by having dinner at T-Rex. What we learned the first time is that you can walk right into the restaurant without speaking to anyone and take a seat at the bar for instant dining service. And it's not a bar, like at a nightclub, with drunk adults...

    Favorite Restaurant in Epcot

No love for the Electric Umbrella?!?! Seriously, when I was a kid in the 80's,l nothing was better than eating a burger at the Electric Umbrella, then wandering around communicore while my parents finished their food. Also in the early years we always ate at Rose and Crown. Bangers and mash...
