Having done the challenge myself, as well as knowing a few people who work the show, I can guarantee that what they show is what's in the "milk shake". It's highly disgusting, and gets stuck in your teeth. And the squids in the show are very real. Glad you had a great time! Thanks for the report.

The "park closes at 8pm" really just means that the rides and shows will stop at 8pm and they'll start shutting it down except for the concert/front of the park after that time. A regular day ticket works for Mardi Gras, it is just like Macy's or Grinchmas in that it's not a seperate ticket event.

I know fireworks have been going off nightly at Universal Studios since 12/26 or so. I'd imagine there'll be fireworks on NYE too.

Actually the rails of the track all have white paint lines down them where the coaster wheels will ride. The track is now in the downward portion of the knot above the Twister queue. It looks fantastic and is really quite high up. I think this is going to be one nice addition to the parks...

I love this thread! So many things I've been wanting to say about Disney vs Universal have been said. Having been an AP at Disney for the last 5 years and going atleast 2-3+ times a month, I can say that both of these places have their faults and that a lot of the Disney faults go "overlooked"...

Not at all! This year has the best streets since the move back to USF, and has some really nice houses. The only houses that really stumble are Reflections of Fear and Creatures, the rest of the houses are all on or above par. I really enjoyed this year, especially Dead Exposure and Scary...
