Five existing in-park kennels to close when new facility opens this summer?

I remember years ago Oprah did her show in WDW and she stayed at the GF and she showed her room for the show, and guess what???? Her dogs were there, so I guess if your rich and/or powerful enough Disney will let your dogs in the hotels.

What is Your Favorite Disney Endurance Race Perk?

I agree with you Holly, the bling is the reason. I also really have a great time wearing the bling and talking with other runners. I can't wait for October, but I do badly need the training time. It's all worth it when they place that medal around your neck.

    Character pictures from the marathons

Here we are, my wife (Julie) and I with the Army Men from Toy Story. These guys were great, one of them had a mic on and was really cheering the runners on like only an Army Man can.

Anyone else running through a ITB injury?

That's funny, I started walking at around the 8 mile mark at the Princess, I was able to run some small distances after that but not as much as I wanted. Speaking of Mile 8, wasn't it boring? My wife and I thought it was the worst area of the race. Thanks for the tips, glad to know...

Glad to have you aboard. I have a subscription to Runners World magazine. I find it very informative and inspiring. I am a new runner and started with the same thing in mind as you, what better sport to take part in than one that includes spending time at Disney. Also here is a link to...

Anyone else running through a ITB injury?

Hi everyone, First I wanted to say "Thanks" to WDWMagic for starting a dedicated thread for Running at Disney. :) Now, down to business. I'm pretty sure I have an ITB injury. I have read that it is one of the most common injuries and was wondering how other runners deal with it? I am...

    Disney Marathon and 1/2

No, not any more. Disney used to have a 10 & 13 k in October as part of the Fall Endurance series. But they cancelled them to do the new "Wine and Dine" half marathon in October. They do have a 5k challenge in June called the "Everest Challenge". It is a blast, the total distance traveled...

Do you think WDWMagic should have thread for "Running @ Disney"

I'm just thinking that if there is a category for races, then the subjects will be easier to find therefore easier to comment on, again therefore kept more up to date. A place where people can discuss training, injuries, favorite places to run in Disney, etc. The thread can hold a lot of...
