Do you think we'll ever get another original, non-IP attraction at WDW?

No, 100% incorrect. You couldn't be more wrong. Tower of Terror is popular because it contains a 13 story drop!

Any regrets? Why shouldn't I buy in?

DVC is obviously an expensive endeavor initially and for the life of the contract. Overlooking the obvious massive buy-in cost, you are assuming an annual dues cost along with all the accompanying costs that go along with a Disney trip (travel, park tickets, food, etc). If you currently go to...

Do you think we'll ever get another original, non-IP attraction at WDW?

Enough with the passive-aggressive one-liners. Have an adult conversation.

Do you think we'll ever get another original, non-IP attraction at WDW?

What are you talking about?! They are the best course of action from a business stand-point. People are already attracted to and are educated on the IP. It's only natural to create IP attractions. Have you heard of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal? (It's based on IP!)

Do you think we'll ever get another original, non-IP attraction at WDW?

Don't put words in my mouth. The topic isn't about CHANGING all parks to IP. The question is about new/ future attractions. Being a media company, Disney already owns the IP so there's no cost in leveraging it.

Do you think we'll ever get another original, non-IP attraction at WDW?

What's oversimplified? Disney IS a mass media company. Welcome to 2018.

How Fast Pass+ Effects Wait Times

I don't really think you needed all this analysis to know that FP+ increases wait times...it's only logical.

Do you think we'll ever get another original, non-IP attraction at WDW?

Disney is a media company. It only makes sense to create IP attractions. Why create an attraction where you have to "educate" your customer base? Customers are already educated on IP.

Telecommuting or working remotely while at Disney Saratoga Springs.

Agreed, but I view that as picking through the garbage of unshreded documents. That's the ancient way of gaining access to sensitive data.

Telecommuting or working remotely while at Disney Saratoga Springs.

Any half-sane company is going to provide VPN access to their employees. It pretty much eliminates all of these concerns and is relatively cheap.

    Financing vs. Purchasing Upfront

Financing a luxury item such as DVC is such an incredibly poor financial decision. Rates start in the double digits. Paying 10%+ for a pre-paid vacation membership doesn't make a heck of a lot of sense, especially when a Disney trip can still be made without the need for DVC ownership.

Beach & Yacht Club or Wilderness Lodge

Y&B Club PROs: Centrally located to the entire complex. Within walking distance to EPCOT and DHS. Next door to Boardwalk. Insane pool. WL PROs: Much better theming. Insane lobby. Much better boat ambiance (if that's your thing). Geyser Point Bar is pretty ridiculous. Close to MK (but travel...

Telecommuting or working remotely while at Disney Saratoga Springs.

A few years ago, I tried to do work in my room at Bay Lake Towers. The WiFi was horrendous; almost non-existent. The ping alone was measured in seconds. I did relocate to the conference area and received a much better and workable signal. This past summer I was able to work exclusively in...

    Disney Streaming Service

I don't know specifically about parks content, but if I'm shelling-out $x for Disney-only content, I'm expecting to be able to stream ALL Disney content whenever I so desire. We already have The Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior (and to a lesser extend ABC) which are part of a...

My opinion of the biggest problem Disney parks has to face

Disney is clearly embracing technology as a cost-saver. It's far cheaper to light up the castle than pay for a 300 cast member parade. Of course, we went to the Aloha Dinner Show and had to wait in a 25 minute line because they did everything on paper. So, who knows.

    Buying resale

Bingo. The very purpose of DVC. I'm not sure why you refute this.

    Buying resale

You read way too much into these discussions. I can't possibly dissect all the inaccuracies put forth by you. I never once indicated DVC wasn't a luxury item. I can't even fathom how you came too such a poor interpretation or conclusion.

    Buying resale

Seriously?! You quoted me in Post #9!! And my question wasn't even directed at you! I've been quoting off of THAT thread. Go back and follow the chain. I haven't once responded to your original statement. We are talking within the confines of DVC membership, which is a luxury item. A Kia...
