Chase Disney Reward Card...is it worth getting?

This is why I like the Venture card. Though they are called "Miles" you can use them for any travel related purchase, not just airfare. Even park tickets from Undercover Tourist came up in the list of travel items I could redeem after our last trip. This discounts though from the Disney Card...

34 days to go!! Do I order Photopass+ yet??

You can still get the PhotoCD if you want but I opted to download all my photos when I used Photopass+ in February. Much faster. The Disney Gallery CD comes in the case with the voucher. And don't forget the voucher! You need to turn that in at a Camera center at the park for your actual...

Chase Disney Reward Card...is it worth getting?

We used to have the Disney Visa but dropped it in favor of the Capital One Venture card. The Venture does have $59/year fee but I now get double miles on every purchase that we can use for any type of travel expense (hotels, airfare, rental cars, park tickets from 3rd party discounters...

Universal First Timers - Where to start

Oh, It wasn't a tour or anything. Just a gold express pass or something we got through my wife's work (they have a location at Universal).

Universal First Timers - Where to start

Regarding the Universal Express thing, we used it this past February as we had a VIP card or something and nearly every single ride was a walk-on for us as there never anybody in the express line compared to the regular queue (which would be 20mins+). Heck, they even let us pick our particular...

Change to the last scene on the haunted mansion

Aren't the mirrors not really mirrors but regular projection screens? I wonder if there's something wrong with the interactive stuff and they're just displaying a basic "static" video of the hitchhikers. Would explain the empty buggies being shown.

Change to the last scene on the haunted mansion

If you're talking about how they now interact with the guest in the buggy (swapping heads, etc...), it's been that way since 2011. Or are you talking about something else?

Is the DDP worth it when you have small children (2-5 yrs old)?

Same here. I used the DDP once when just my DD (4 at the time) and I went to WDW. Would've been easier and cheaper if I had just paid by cash. We skipped 1 meal entirely (too full from the last) and had to get snacks and stuff we didn't really need. I think I used I used the refillable mug...

    Describe Enchanted Tales With Belle

It was interesting to see. The Magic Mirror door is a cool effect, so is the Wardrobe when its working. My DD wasn't picked as character. She and the other kids left played the part of the Silverware so they didn't feel left out. I don't find she does. Just watch the video above. Same...

    Buena Vista Suites

Parking is free. There's a parking lot that wraps all around the building. There's also no resort fees, unless it's already built into the nightly charge. The only other thing added is the nightly room tax. You'll see the tax if you check rates at wdwinfo. They also have free shuttle to the...

    Buena Vista Suites

We've stayed here twice and love it. Easy access to the parks, really nice rooms (all suites) and a good, free breakfast. Check wdwinfo for room specials (eg $89/night). You can book check dates/rates online as well as book online with them instead of having to call. Any questions lemme know.

Which DTD hotel do you prefer?

Though not on Plaza Blvd, Buena Vista Suites is our favorite offsite hotel. You don't have to deal with DTD traffic and it's a lot easier to get to/from the parks.

Best mode of transportation to early morning ADR in Norway?

Just take the bus to Epcot. They'll be an entrance open for guests with ADRs. You'll walk through a empty Future World to get to Norway. This is what we did for our 8:20am breakfast there. Great time to get photos like these: Future World Family Heading to Breakfast at Norway

Lesser Known Treasures of Disney Dining

Another vote for Kona. I like Captain Cook's at the Poly too. They have a self-serve dole whip! The Adult Grilled Cheese was good. Columbia Harbor House has become a favorite of mine for a quick service. I've been wanting to try a waffle sandwich at Sleepy Hollow too.

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

This was back in 98, was at WDW with the high school band. I can't remember exactly where it happened, I'm pretty sure it was at the TTC. Was with a bunch of friends at the TTC waiting for a monorail. We saw some other friends on the other platform. I think heading to the Ecpot Monorail. One...

    Why WDW ?

DW and I have been to WDW nearly every year since '99. The reasons we go... Probably originally for that childhood escape but probably now there's 2 main reasons: getting to see our kids enjoy as much as we did but also cause of that "bubble". Of course, we still enjoy ourselves. But for us...

Spotted a wristband on tv show audience guest!

The one I see at 0:20 looks just like any other paper wristband places use to show "you've paid", "you have access", "you're over 18", etc.... You can (briefly) see it on multiple people throughout the beginning of the clip. The one at 0:34 is probably just a blue bracelet.

Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show closing for brief refurbishment in November

The first time you see it it's a good show, but afterwards it's just..meh... The main thing though is that DHS could better utilize the space for much better attractions (eg: Star Wars themed area).
