Missed memories. Miss Memories? Nah, mismemories.

So I'm reading this thread I was thinking I've got this old memory from being a kid and standing in a line for a ride. No idea what, no idea where, but I remember you could see this big thing across the room where you could see ride vehicles go into it and they came out the other side small...

    Why Only Vacation At WDW?

Before the kids we took yearly trips to WDW with occasional trips elsewhere (Philly, Indianapolis F1, San Fran, Canada, etc.. After we had kids it mostly became WDW only because it's someplace the kids love going to just as much as we do. There's no worry about them finding something "boring" or...

When staying at an EPCOT resort, how many of you take the boat?

We'll always walk in the morning to both parks. In the afternoon/evening it's usually if the boat is there, we can walk on and the feet could a rest we'll hop on. Otherwise we find it's easier/quicker to just keep walking than wait around for a boat.

Disney Chase Visa card - worth it for trips?

We've been pretty happy it. There's a $60/year fee after the first year but I feel the service we get from Capital One had been worth it. The fraud protection service is great when we've had to use it. Never any issues there. We also bank with Capital One so having everything all linked up...

Disney Chase Visa card - worth it for trips?

We used to have a Disney Visa a few years back but ended up switching to a Capital One venture. We got more points back on the Venture and the rewards weren't locked to just Disney purchases. We've used the points to pay for airfare when flying in the past. This year we used to them to pay for 4...

Opinion on Beauty and the Beast- Live on Stage?

We saw Beauty and the Beast for the first time in a looooong time this past March and we enjoyed it. The kids loved it. It's certainly a low-key, simple-set play but I think that's the style they are going for, Something like what a small performance art theatre would do. Compared to the...

POLL: Will WDW Institute a "Squatting Ban" for Fireworks and Parades?

Just came back from a week trip and spent 3 days at the MK. One welcomed sight I saw just before/during parade and fireworks was Cast members used masking tape to designate "watching space" from "walking space" all along main street and near the hub. Basically the first curb and about 2-3...

Joe Rohde on how Avatar fits within Disney's Animal Kingdom

Excellent info. I've never heard of the core ideas talked about before prior to this video so was just curious if they had a history with the park or not. Thank you!

Joe Rohde on how Avatar fits within Disney's Animal Kingdom

I'm curious if these "3 core ideas of Animal Kingdom" that he's using to connect Pandora to Animal Kingdom have ever been mentioned before, or are they just new in order to create the connection? 1 - Intrinsic value of nature 2 - Transformation through adventure 3 - Personal Call to Action

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner -

I would think another benefit to a low travel system is evac as well (or god fordid castrophic failure of something). I don't know how many pods are normally strung out on a line at a time, but I imagine if a major issue occured causing the cable line to be inoperable, evac'ing multiple pods at...

New MK welcome show debuts Jan. 9th

I wonder if having the show on that stage with cause them to close the tunnel through the castle like they do during the day shows or not. I guess it depends on how elaborate they get with this maybe? I'm glad they're doing something to help with the gate crowds but I'll sure miss that empty...

Amorette's Patisserie reducing operating hours from today

Yup. We're heading to Disney in February and looking forward to checking everything out at Disney Springs. While we won't be dining at any of the new restuarants or shopping for stuff, DW and I are still interested in checking it out to see it all in person.

Amorette's Patisserie reducing operating hours from today

A friend and I were talking last week or so about Disney Springs and we both had the same feeling too. It all looks great and nice and updated, but the stores and restaurants to us seem to.... fancy/upscale for Disney World. Neither of us could see us spending the money that some of these...

    Disney site / MDE down

No problems here on both the website or iPhone app. The App did prompt to accept some terms, so maybe they were updated? But afterwards everything loaded right up in the app.

    DVC point rental question

Yeah, I just rented points for February at the boardwalk and couldn't even get the whole week we wanted. Had to wait the list the first 2 days to see if they come through. But you may get lucky if it's a short trip. I was able to book a studio at AKV a couple trip backs maybe 2 months out for...

    Fastpass and rider swap

Only the first people riding need a FP+. Whoever is waiting with the non-rider does not need a FP+ ticket. Our last trip was me, wife, 7yr & 2yr old DDs. For rides like 7DMT, Wife and 7yr old would get a FP+. At the ride we'd ask a cast member for a riderswap ticket, which I took. Wife and...

Norway Pavilion Frozen construction - Frozen Ever After ride

Oh yeah, that I can certainly understand. :) It's just the mini-frat party groups we've seen moving around WS that are the eye-sore to us.

Norway Pavilion Frozen construction - Frozen Ever After ride

Combine that with the bar-hop that WS has become lately and it really kills the atmosphere for us. I don't know how many bachelor/bachelorette/drinking t-shirt groups/loud,obnoxious drunk people that my family and I had to get pass during our last visit to WS.
