It’s astounding to me how they are systematically lessening their unique property that is/was California Adventure. Marvel was a misfire, Pixar Pier is an objective downgrade, and the crown jewel experience is Cars Land. Taking the central experience and making it not unique by cloning it in WDW...
I wake up in a cold sweat about them announcing “Dreamfinder returns with his old pal Figment…..with the Toy Story Mania ride system and a shooting gallery!!!” and thinking that is even remotely a good idea.
I very much look forward to seeing this all in person, but…..
It’s not enough. This needed to absolutely blow everyone away and it’s really not. I’m so sad to be disappointed.
Exactly. Zach Ridley talked about the Festival Center logo in passing in a post about the Entrance flags and he referred to it as the World Celebration logo.
Cool, but…..the inclusion of the Play icon is so incredibly odd. Unless they’re keeping it for whatever iteration the space will become, but I doubt it.
Oh? Might this have to do with an Imagination overhaul?
Rumors aside, I’m shocked Figment isn’t being prominently featured in the new CommuniCore lineup. I know he has his own pavilion, but still.
True, yet this would also apply to Magic Kingdom. The only TRUE expansion of genuine size left is the Beyond Big Thunder area. They have to nail this.
(The Adventureland expansion plot, AFAIK, isn’t being looked at for anything except for one ride. That doesn’t really count.)
Fully agree. Which is what Fantasy Springs does so well.
They have a B, C, D+ and E. A GREAT and diverse lineup. (These are up for debate, but thats how I'd classify them.)
