Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

If the guy from the Festival thread is to be believed, the huge Figment push this year with the Odyssey retheme is Disney gauging interest and testing the waters to give a WDI "Figment Team" the go ahead to do something more substantial

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Just producing at the moment and hopefully staying there. It's enough of a monkey paw for me already to see "Produced by Seth Rogen" in the same sentence as "Figment movie in development".

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Could have something to do with the VR Figment concepts from "One Day at Disney"

News Zootopia and Moana Blue Sky concepts for Disney's Animal Kingdom

It almost does look like a Dinosaur Alley given that the Dinosaur Treasures building looks mostly intact (albeit missing the exterior decor) on the right of that image and Moana otherwise seems to be leaning more on the Dinorama/Theater of the Wild side of things. The real question is how far...

    King Kong ( Disney+ Live-Action Series)

The 104 foot Kong was also an overscaled Toho project. The most that normal Kong gets is around 50 feet and that's based more on the miniature New York buildings used in 1933's stop motion sets not quite matching the puppet's scale and essentially meaning Kong had to have grown on the boat trip.

    King Kong ( Disney+ Live-Action Series)

For starters, size. It's not like Disney Kong needs to be beefed up to fight Godzilla after all.

    Dinosaur has seen better days

Is an adaptation of the Cooper Estate's King Kong expanded universe novels.

    Dinosaur has seen better days

While King Kong's legal rights are a tangled up mess and the original novelization being public domain has only thrown even more of a wrench into it, Cooper's Kong is one of the few that can legally be called King Kong, while Legendary's Kong by your logic is the one that's a half attempt to...

    Dinosaur has seen better days

So Disney got the rights to another character at Universal Studios that actually makes sense as a a Dinoland overhaul idea. Assuming that using the Merian C. Cooper Estate's King Kong doesn't conflict with anything theme park rights wise...

    Dinosaur has seen better days

Whole point of Dinoland being where they put it is that it doesn't need to be too close to the back of house animal care facilities since its more animatronics then live animals there.

    Galaxy's Edge timeline is history

Imagineering's been clear ever since Mission Breakout that their theme park Marvel Universe is a "Snap Never Happened Good End" timeline and used the multiverse as an excuse to do whatever the hell they want in the Campuses.

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

Ant-Man and the Wasp are Universal controlled since in comic books, they were founding Avengers members.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

The core myth of the Unicorn is the instructions on how to hunt them for their healing horns. There's a very obvious anti-poaching story to have with an attraction where you have to put in the effort to find a unicorn and spare it.

Where do the Dr Strange park rights lie?

Yeah historically, Strange has been more associated with his Defenders team (him, Hulk, Silver Surfer and Namor) then the Avengers.

Rumor Hollywood insiders say there's growing tension at Disney as CEO Bob Chapek chafes at Bob Iger's 'long goodbye'

The thing with Tower of Terror is that the Twilight Zone barely has anything to do with the actual story beyond a vague excuse for why the elevator incident happened. And Paris basically wrote Serling out of their version already with their Sally Shine redo of the main show.

Rumor Hollywood insiders say there's growing tension at Disney as CEO Bob Chapek chafes at Bob Iger's 'long goodbye'

The Princess Industrial Complex and its needs keeps Disney Animation from making more movies in the genres that all the popular "rides that had nothing to do with pre-existing movies" are. Imagineering's basically been banking on the overlap of "Park Nerds" and "Atlantis/Tarzan/Treasure Planet...

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Wallace and Gromit would be better in the United Kingdom Pavilion then the Mary Poppins spinner they gave up on.
