    Worst of the 4 Parks?

Since I love stats and numbers so much, right now according to the polls, here are the parks' approval ratings (I didn't include the undecided votes to the count) 14 votes - Magic Kingdom (90.5% approval rating) 16 votes - Animal Kingdom (89.2% approval rating) 27 votes - EPCOT Center (81.8%...

    Worst of the 4 Parks?

I think growing up going to DL where the walkways are truly claustrophobic sardine cans, some queues feel like cattle chutes, where paths trail off into complete bottlenecks, as well as roadblocked areas you can't even pass even on barely crowded days; the Magic Kingdom by contrast feels like a...

    Worst of the 4 Parks?

That is a good point. I would say attractions, immersion, theming and restaurants are the most important to me, followed by cleanliness and landscaping and then shopping behind all of those. I decided to break the categories down into a sum that equals to 100 for a perfect score. Attractions =...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

I think it sounds a lot like the current Innoventions/Future World loop as well as the Tomorrowland v3 BGM loop (1993/1995-2003) - both of which I love(d) immensely. And even though that specific TL loop was just music from actual pre-existing non-Disney albums, the new age music actually did...

    Suggestion for seafood in Epcot?

That's what I am hoping for. Because eating it raw/poke style was like chewing on the sole of a shoe!

    Suggestion for seafood in Epcot?

I hear ya. I've only had octopus once in Hawai'i, he'e poke style in a salad, so it was raw. Was not a fan. I want to try eating it cooked this time, though! I do love calamari, but I have had it so many times that I want to try something more unique I guess.

    Suggestion for seafood in Epcot?

I'm eating at Coral Reef on my upcoming trip and was eye-ballin' that mahi mahi for lunch. You just sold me on it! By chance, did you try the octopus as an appetizer? I am thinking I'll probably get that as well but am curious if you have tried it?

    Worst of the 4 Parks?

First, agreed that the wording "worst" isn't the best choice - "least favorite" or "least enjoyable" park is probably more fitting or appropriate. I take cleanliness, theming, landscaping, immersion, attractions, shopping and restaurants and food all into consideration at the parks. This was...

How early is the earliest you've been allowed to check in?

This has been my experience when checking in at 6am, too. The room is usually ready by noon at the latest. I think it also helps depending on the day of the week you check-in.

How early is the earliest you've been allowed to check in?

I always fly red-eyes now and usually arrive at my resort between 6 and 7am. The earliest I have ever had a room ready was 7:00am at the Poly one year. Last year my room was ready at 11:30am. I never count on my room being ready when I arrive or even at Noon. I see it as being a nice little...

Anyone do uber while at a Disney resort?

I used Uber twice last year to get to AK from the Poly super early one morning and from AKL back to the Poly with zero issues at all. The fare was pretty reasonable as well - I think one ride was $6.25 and the other was $7.50.

    Joe Rohde Would Hate This

Some eras or themes of certain lands do have the worn down, delapidated or old looking look though and it works perfectly well because it fits with the theme that is trying to be conveyed or adds to the aesthetics or part of the story being told. A lot of Frontierland would fall into that...

    Flights of Passage scary?

I would say if you can do Pirates, then you can do Kali River. The hill on Kali River is only a little bit longer than the one on Pirates and isn't really any more intense other than you can sometimes spin a little on the raft right as you start the drop. The real thrill is anticipating if the...

Does anyone else go to WDW without ADR's??

Jiko for me - the last 2 times I went I had an ADR just in case, but it was definitely not necessary (there were maybe 3 other tables seated). But I have gone twice in the past with no ADR and just walked up for dinner. Most of the time I eat dinner either super early at 5p or really late at...

What move by disney is irredeemable or will be irredeemable if it ever happens?

I'm one of those people. I actually do miss the old days where you did not have to plan anything - when there were no Fast Passes, when you could call a restaurant the day before and still make a reservation or even just being able to walk up and get a table. BUT- I love planning, too! So I...

News New sponsor coming to Walt Disney World's Splash Mountain

I do have to agree that this a rather clever tie-in. I have always put my phone in a ziploc bag while at the parks. To protect it from Splash, while racing on Sea Raycers or from the storms. I also always have my SLR and camcorder while inside my waterproof sleeved equiped camera packs in...
