The ride vehicle was completed this week, and the first movement on the tower itself also began. Should see testing begin very soon!

    BGT Tiger Cubs

He's doing relatively well. He's the smallest of the three cubs... as of about a month ago he was at 92 pounds, while both of his sisters were a little over 100. He can be seen on habitat with his sisters and mother on a fairly regular basis.

    Falcon's Fury coming to BGT!

It's been awhile, but here are a couple of pics from the last few months: Late July when the pilings reached their peak in number. All subsequently driven into the ground. And the tower sections have arrived, soon to be installed starting later this month:

Disney launch 'Limited Time Magic' for Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort in 2013

The second set is one male and two females I believe. One of the things they detailed on the tour is that they are currently giving the two females birth control, as they do not feel it is in the best interest to have either of them having offspring at this point, although they do intend to have...

Disney launch 'Limited Time Magic' for Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort in 2013

So now that the week is over (didn't want to spoil it for anyone else who was going to it), here's the details on my experience on the backstage tour at Animal Kingdom. Check in was painless, just gave my name outside the gate at the little table they had set up for us and waited until the...

    Annual Passholder Parking Issues

For what it's worth, showed my AP at both Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom tool booth yesterday and was simply waved through.

    Touring Plan.Com

I think a subscription to their website is worth it, and I use it before heading up to get a general idea of the crowd levels for that day. But I would be careful on putting 100% faith in their numbers, as they can be off quite a bit on occasion. I've also seen the predicted crowd levels...

Refrigerators being temporarily removed from all rooms

A $15 per night credit was not promised by Disney. The resorts were granted permission to offer up to a $15 per night credit in certain circumstances. It was to be used at the manager's discretion at the resort if a refrigerator was not available, or if another option did not meet the guest's...

    KIDNEY STONE! AHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best of luck. I've suffered through about 1/2 dozen stones in the last year. One small positive, if you can view it as such, is that all have been able to pass without the need for any surgical intervention. However more than a few of them have taken their sweet time to do so. I have felt your...

    Tables in Wonderland Confusion

Like others have said, $500 is the break even number if you buy the card at $100. And yes, 18% tip is auto added to your bill. But, be careful not to fall into the incorrect math that if you save 20% but add tip of 18%, you only really save 2%. That math assumes you tip 0% to begin with...

How far in advance can you make Universal Restaurant Reservations?

I can't find the specifics either, but I did want to add that Universal has just recently introduced a dining plan, so as it gains popularity, reservations will be begin to book up more in advance, so if there is somewhere in particular you want to eat, it would be a good idea to have a...
