But is there more value in skipping the line for FOP on a busy Saturday vs. a Wednesday in February?

Dear Guest, you said you'd like to ride Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We've automatically added a visit to the country bears, three gift shops, and a bathroom between your rides. Look at how efficient your day will be.

By that reasoning, should they replace things like COP? They can push people toward it all they want, but there are plenty of us who just aren't interested in certain attractions, regardless of wait time.

It is pretty interesting that a party ticket is now often more than a full-day admission. Sometimes a lot more. I believe the Christmas party tops out at $250 a person?

Disney World can Kiss my grits...

I completely agree with you. Disney is one of my favorite vacation places because for me it's a great escape from reality, but it's certainly not the only one. Even my 7-year-old won't always pick Disney when we ask where she'd like to vacation. I'm glad you and your kids have great memories...

Yeah. They do that. It's called afterhours events and parties. Many people on these boards hate them.

Disney World can Kiss my grits...

I think a lot of people think Disney should be a Chevy/Ford (or I guess now Toyota since that's what sells the most in America) level vacation rather than the Audi/Mercedes that it's become. Given the current political climate and the growing chasm between economic classes, there's a lot of...

I feel completely the opposite. I planned my FPs specifically to try to minimize walking because our kiddo has been small and we didn't want to exhaust her. Interesting. Then why continue dropping ticket prices for people who stay beyond nights/days?

Except that part of the model, at WDW at least, is to try to get people to stay there for more days. More days = hotel stays, food costs, and more potential to sell merch. If you tier pricing that way, people will pay the expensive price for 1 day, ride all the things like maniacs, and then...

Will anyone stay on site any longer?

If and when my kiddo becomes interested in Universal, we might take a few days to stay there. As is, personally I don't love anything at Universal enough to actually stay at one of their hotels. The rides are fun, but other than Happy Potter, Uni is not really a repeat vacation atmosphere for...

I think they had to change the name just so people didn't think it behaved the way the old FP system did. All of the media I've seen about this is negative. All of it. It's interesting to watch. I agree that I don't think $20 hike to ticket prices would be much of a deterrent. I don't think...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I think if they're doing it day-to-day, early morning is the only way they can still give on-site guests a tiny sliver of a perk. Since offsite guests have to be in a park before they can choose, it seems like it will push more people to rope drop. (Or whatever they want to call it since on-site...

Will anyone stay on site any longer?

Yes. Because I enjoy the resorts and their atmosphere, and I like the convenience of travelling by Disney transport. Obviously it is not good value, though.

Surely Disney has a better name for it? Tinkerbell's Magical Fairydust Pass?

But Little Mermaid is in MK, where there are all the rides for littles. Rat is in Epcot -- and in the happy drink-y parents part.

    $15 per person * 2 people * 10 days = $300 ?

    Which one

AKL. It's the best resort on property, in my opinion. The distance to some Parks is a deterrent for some, but you're going to have long bus rides to MK and others from SSR or OKW too. Also some people do not care for the restaurant menus at AKL and would be happier at OKW or SSR where you can...

I thought I read that it will be no different for APs than any other ticket holder. APs will have to buy it per day/per ride.
