'Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!'

40 minutes is a long show for littles. Especially in a park that many people still deem a half-day park.

    City of the Future

There are parts of Idaho that are considered high desert. Idaho also has a good current balance of renewable energy and enormous potential, not just in solar but also wind, hydro, geothermal, and biomass. "In 2019, Idaho generated 76% of its in-state utility-scale (facilities that are 1...

Singapore has made it work. Greenroofs have a lot of challenges, but it's not impossible.

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

Yeah. It was mentioned in the Guess the 50 thread because a couple of the toys are different from the statues. https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/guess-the-50-golden-statues.974071/page-15#post-9983207

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

Yes. Some (maybe all?) of the pedestals have visible screwheads from the top as well. And the 50th icon is just slapped on the side. They're really poorly done, I think.

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

I agree. I much prefer these to the statues in front of the castle. The pedestals look awful and cheap. I like the statues themselves, though.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I'm sorry to hear that. It is a very hard situation for those who have been advised for legitimate reasons not to get the vaccine. For someone like you who has had a previous reaction, I can certainly understand why there would be fear and you would not get the vaccine. Frankly I got the shot to...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Covid-19 is more likely to cause heart-related issues than the vaccines. Even if you have had covid once, the vaccine offers additional protection from future strains. There are plenty of articles and advice from reputable sources about this, but here's one...

Animal Kingdom Lodge - room advice

Not all of the savannahs have zebras or giraffes. I'm guessing you were on the Pembe Savannah, and the "half striped" animal you saw was the okapi, which are endangered, solitary animals. They're one of my favorites.

News Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours coming for resort guests

I wonder if the value or lack of value for the early entry might depend on how much individual attraction LL costs.

Animal Kingdom Lodge - room advice

Touringplans has a great room finder where people submit pictures from the rooms and you can filter by walking distance. When I stayed at Kidani last time, I requested a specific area of rooms. https://touringplans.com/hotel_maps/disneys-animal-kingdom-lodge

Will anyone stay on site any longer?

I feel the same about Hard Rock. I remember staying at Hard Rock Vegas when I thought it was kinda cool, but that was 20 years ago. The pool area at Hard Rock Orlando looks nice. We looked at staying at all-inclusives in Mexico, and the Hard Rocks were on the list of good reviews, but the look...

WDW As The Only Vacation Option: Why?

Oh hey us too. We had a cruise cancelled last May, then we thought maybe France this spring, then maybe at least Disneyland for a few days this October. We've settled for a handful of nights at a nearby national park. Staycations are ok, but no real vacations in 3 years is hard on this lady.

    WDW Hotels

I would second Animal Kingdom Lodge. Most enjoyable hotel I've ever stayed in. Beautiful, great food, lovely staff members, nice pools. Watching animals with your morning tea is such a wonderful way to start the day.

Main feature pool refurbishments scheduled at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Fort Wilderness Resort

I agree. Especially compared with other Deluxe pools onsite.

There's no wrong way to vacation. If Uni works for you, great.

Will anyone stay on site any longer?

Yeah, but only if I want to go on Universal's rides. I don't. I sure as anything wouldn't spend 7 nights there.
