    Somewhat random Epcot food question...

It is probably just a system malfunction. As far as I know, Fife and Drum Tavern is still there. I think you will be fine. :-)

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

I honestly never thought I would really notice, but you know what...I do notice. I notice that my trip this year costs close to $1,500 more than it did 8-10 years ago. I notice that a lot of things are gone and don't seem to be getting replacements. I also notice that my heart still really...

New Film for Soarin' and Potential 3rd Theater

While I love the idea of a new version of the movie, I hate the thought of losing the current score. It's so beautiful. But I do understand how difficult it would be to time a new movie to the old movie's music. Good rumor. Thumbs up on this one.

Picking a stateroom on the dream...

I let my travel agent -Tammy Whiting, @Disneyfalcon here on WDWMagic - pick it for me. I told her my wishes/concerns/issues and she picked an awesome room for us. Because she is so familiar with those ships, she is a great resource.

    Favorite Lunch quick service

At MK that would be Columbia Harbor House. At Epcot - Sunshine Seasons At Studios - nothing. It's all rubbish. At AK - Flame Tree At Downtown Disney - Earl of Sandwich, which is probably my favorite choice overall.

    Another FP+ Glitch

I don't know...I've been known to use the word glitch. Wreck It Ralph called Vanellope a "glitch", and we all know that cartoons don't lie. Websters has a definition for it in their dictionary. I say it's a good word. :-) glitch noun \ˈglich\ : an unexpected and usually minor problem...

Voices of Liberty to become latest cut?

I too am interested in knowing if this horrible rumor is true. VoL is amazing. I visit them every trip sitting right up front on the ground, under the beautiful rotunda swaying to the music like an excited grade schooler on a field trip. Hoping this is nothing more than a rumor.

New Survey Asks about Fastpass+ Changes

I think the idea of a rotating FP is at least some "small" improvement. And if they roll in a park hopping option....even better. My only problems with the system in its current state: 1) park hopping becomes much more difficult. Park hopping is huge to us. I despise the idea of having all...

    DLR Picture of the Day

  10. harveyt0206

I think I'm starting to regret booking.

That was my biggest problem with our DLR trip. I felt soooo out of sorts because I just couldn't plan a darn thing other than "the park opens at X and closes at Y". It was highly frustrating for the trip planner in me. Even the van ride too and from the airport was stressful for me. I'm...

I think I'm starting to regret booking.

I'm really not trying to make light of the fact that so many things are going to be down during your visit. I completely sympathize. First of all, it's not cheap. To spend that much money, it's not wrong to have certain expectations and hopes. But with that being said, I'm really glad you...

I think I'm starting to regret booking.

Honestly, I think it came down to the fact that it just feels like a complete, "old school" dark ride. I'm sure nostalgia played a part. We loved the lighting and the effects, plus there is just sooo much to look at and take in, you see something new on each ride through. Indy has many of...

I think I'm starting to regret booking.

I was laughing at you all adding a day at the start of your trip in order to ride Pirate's. That is sooooo something that we would do. We just got back from our first Disneland Resort trip and we had several "big ticket" items down during our trip. BTMRR, Splash, Small World, Fantasmic...

I think I'm starting to regret booking.

I totally understand your frustration here @sweetpee_1993. I'm sure you remember my "gloom, despair and agony" thread about all the refurbs taking place during our upcoming trip. Pirates was such a huge disappointment to us that we almost canceled our trip. But, after I pouted about it for a...

WDW Food Pictures Of The Day Part II

    That looks obscenely delicious. Mmmmm....steak.

    DL EXPERTS: Plan me this!

Thank you for asking these questions @sweetpee_1993. Hubby and I were wondering about near-by convenience stores as well. We always have water delivered when we do our WDW trips (geesh....that sounds really elitist, ugh). Any way, we like to get "cheap" water to keep in our room rather than...

    Facebook on the decline?

Personally, my use fluctuates, but I definitely don't go on there as much as I use to. There are only so many inspirational quotes and political rants that one person can consume in a day. After a while, Facebook is an annoying bore. Plus, I have always felt that the way Facebook gathers and...

    question on Cafe Orleans

W We struggled with this one too as "first timers". Those prices really were a negative and as you mentioned, the menu wasn't really all that appealing to us. In the end we decided to do it because Pirates - the attraction- will be down for refurb during our trip. We figure this will at...

It’s the 2nd Annual UNofficial WDWMagic Girls Cruise!

Sigh...I so wish I could join next years trip. I was very jealous of this years fun adventures. Not in a hateful way. Just in a "boy that looks fun" kind of way. Oh well...can't wait to read the fun trip reports and perhaps third time will be the charm. My best friend really wants to go too.

Saving Mr. Banks. Going to see it or not?

We just came home from seeing this movie. It was so wonderful! My love for Disney was A gift given to me by my Father, who passed away when I was young. I only had one family vacation with Daddy before he died, and that was to Walt Disney World. That first trip embedded a life long love...
