Ticket Price Increase - Feb 2014

We are Teamsters. And the job market in central Florida does not allow you to just change employers. I knew I wasn't going to get rich working at WDW, but they could at least pay a living wage to the cast that make the magic everyday.

Ticket Price Increase - Feb 2014

As a CM, I'm not seeing any of that money. Our contracts are up at the end of March, and I will guarantee you that Disney will cry poor again just like the last time.

    Most Annoying Guest Behavior

People that leave their morning newspapers, empty coffee cups, and spilled Cheerios all over my bus. It's amazing that only seems to happen at three resorts in particular. If I wanted to clean up after you, I would work in Mousekeeping, not transportation.

    Arrggh! To much cheer!!

And we wonder why the US ranks so bad in education. NOBODY SEEMS TO BE IN SCHOOL. A week for cheer, a week for "twirling", a week for this sport or that sport. Why don't we have a week on "How to Make Change of a $5" or a week of "Life Skills 101: Stop Texting & Have A Conversation"

Just started, have a few questions?

Hi Payge and welcome to the Disney family! You should get your main gate passes in 2-3 weeks in the mail. You can always get into the parks using your cast ID. The main gates are for when you want to sign friends and family in. Make sure you check The Hub for any blockout dates. You are never...

Hoop De Doo Bus Trip Back

Sorry if my tone came out wrong. You understand the frustrations. Had an incident today at Ft. Wilderness involving a rental car crossing the double yellow line heading straight at me. Guest driving said rental car complained stating I ran a stop sign. Camera proved otherwise. The Lake County...

Hoop De Doo Bus Trip Back

Disney buses do not have "Out of Service" programmed in the marquee. I should know, I drive one. People constantly complaining about something us drivers have no control over. We go where and how we are told. Also, there is no special bus to chauffeur you to breakfast in the morning (contrary...

How about a Liberty Square expansion?

It's the 1700s version of the sewer.

Christmas and New Year 2013 capacity phased closings and wait times

All buses have been rerouted away from MK toll plaza and Epcot Center Drive. Started driving my AK routes at 6:15 this morning and rerouting began at 7 am. I'm glad I drive buses for AK and not MK. Everyone have a happy and safe new year!

In Defense of the Stroller Pushers

Having a Cadillac stroller also does not entitle you to have rear door access to the transportation. The excuse of "it's too big" or "it doesn't fold up" doesn't cut it. You bought or rented it. It got in your car. I had to leave 40+ people in a load zone because all available space on the bus...

Question for CM regarding CM use of FP+

Unfortunately you cannot link a CM Main Entrance Pass to FastPass+ at this time. Hopefully, sometime in 2014.

    Role Pay?

Buses get paid pretty good for WDW.

You can get full time anywhere from right out of training or it could take a couple of months...

You can get full time anywhere from right out of training or it could take a couple of months. You can always pick up shifts. There is usually overtime available and if people call out you have the possibility of having your shift extended. I usually get extended 2 or 3 times a week, but I work...

Congrats and welcome to Disney Transport!

    I-4 Traffic Tickets (Orlando)...

Slow down. 55 in metro Orlando, 60 outside Orlando to WDW, 65 past there. We have enough bad drivers in Florida, so be cautious. A rain storm is like a blizzard to them. As someone that lives in Florida now moving from up north, these people would die if they had to drive in ice and snow.

    Oldest Cast Member?

We have a bus driver that has a seniority date of September 1971.

What would be your dream job IN the park?

Already have it. I take guests to the wonders of the Animal Kingdom on my bus everyday. And it counts as IN the park because I sometimes have to drive the cast shuttle backstage.

    They're on tonight

I watch them every time they're on, and I work there. Watching MJJP at AK start up now while I'm on break.

    New Animal Kingdom Bus Stops

I have no idea why they did it that way. Downtown Disney is the same way. However, it has thinned out demand by splitting them up. Animal Kingdom had the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian all on one bus. This way seems to be better.
