Star Tours testing new efficiency techniques?

Tower, splash, and thunder also recently had competitions with Cali. They are not comparing actual numbers but percentages of the target. If Florida splash has a carry target of 1935 and Cali has 1700, if Florida only gets 1900 people through in one hour and Cali gets 1705, Cali wins for that hour.

splash need rehab and geyser is working

The ride is barely making its way through 2011. Swear the past two weeks have seen more downtime than actually running. I still blame the lap bars. Should be an interesting time in frontierland once thunder is down.

    Fastpass messup??

Splash's issue is that its possible number of distributed fastpasses per hour exceeds the actual hourly capability of the ride. This is assuming all tickets allowed per 5 minute window are given out. Tack onto that gac cards and re ads from other attractions and you're looking at a long fastpass...

    Fastpass Return Times

Last month Splash was doing a test of enforcing wait times. Several days during the week from around 11-4 a manager, coordinator and cast member would stand at return and only let in current times and were surveying guests on why they were returning late. At another attraction we've already...

Dead body found in employee parking lot

I've opened Tower at Studios and closed Splash or Thunder many many times. 18 hour days are more common than you think, almost my entire summer was double back.

    No more late Fastpasses?

So I know everyone is accustomed to getting fastpasses early in the morning and using them later on. What do you guys think of late fastpasses not being accepted? Yes, everyone with a late fastpass will probably have gotten stuck on space, had their dinner reservations run late or not speak...

Pic of Splash Mountain lap bars......

Or creating more downtime than a normal intrusion would cause by station or ride stopping everytime someone doesn't push down the bar, which from what I've heard is almost every other dispatch. Also the system wasn't designed to withstand so much abuse, I can see more longer downtimes being...

Pic of Splash Mountain lap bars......

No hun, that would be the padding. The lapbars don't go that high. Look again.

Pic of Splash Mountain lap bars......

That is not a picture of the lapbars, just the dummies and padding. The lapbars cannot be seen in the onride photos if pulled down enough.

    Splash Mtn Restraints

We haven't started retraining yet, but it is my understanding that we will not be checking the lap bars, just telling guests to pull them down.

    Splash Mtn Restraints

For those still doubting, we will 100% reopen with lapbars. The new boats have actually been in service for a while now. If you've ridden in the past few months, you most likely rode the "lapbars boats" minus the lapbars. During this rehab all they had to do vehicle wise was pop in the bars.

    Girls trip to Disneyland. Ideas?

Hey guys, so the roomies and I are making a girls trip to Cali and staying at the Disneyland hotel. We plan on hitting DL, DCA and UH from December 12th-16th. We're all early-mid twenties? Anything must see/do? I definitely want to hit Saddle Ranch at UH but no idea whats offered at DL. Also...

FIRE - Reports of fire at Walt Disney World's Splash Mountain

The mountain is fine. Small electrical fire, they are powering up again right now. Numerous places are saying all of frontierland and all of mk are being evaced...so not true.

Evaced last night on Splash Mountain

Splash was evaced last night after being down 22 minutes. We were activating the third to last zone when guests started getting out. We would never leave people sitting there for "upwards of an hour". Guests really need to learn, when Splash goes down we can get you out so much faster if you...
