Apparently the hotel has been born again. Check out this review from tripadvisor. Looks like they have done some major work on the place. I'm not saying I would stay there, but it looks 100% better...

I look at it this way: The Dolphin is part of the Sheraton brand and The Swan is part of Westin. Westins are at the higher end of the Starwood Resorts spectrum. Both are managed by Starwood Resorts, but Westin properties tend to be a bit nicer with not as many rooms. As a former employee of...

Can't tell you about the Grand Floridian, but the Garden Grove at The Swan was excellent. It's been a few years, but from what I remember was very good and worth the price. My guess is that the Grand Floridian Buffet is larger and probably more $$$$.

I do not like Tower of Terror. I rode it once when it dropped only twice. I couldn't imagine riding it now. The theme and effects on the other hand are spectacular.

The are owned and managed by Starwood Resorts. The Swan is the Westin brand, while The Dolphin is the Sheraton brand. They pay for the right to be called Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin.
