    Considering SVC help.

Well, it's a big thing to research with a lot of ins and outs. It's a point system and you buy yearly points, so basically for your party size and number of nights, you would probably need somewhere between 1000 and 1500 points, although it varies by resort, time of year, room type, etc. That...

Pandora - The World of Avatar opening day reports

I don't have numbers at the ready, but the lines just to get in the Potter area were 8 hours plus and stretched around the park, after waiting for hours in the Citywalk area trying to get in. I remember seeing the whole sidewalk in front of the Hard Rock Cafe completely full with lines, lol. I...

Pandora - The World of Avatar opening day reports

Well I think this is shaping up to be a pretty expected grand opening. Nice size crowds, not near the Potter crowds from 2010 but still good, about what was expected. Nice addition to AK, turning it into more of a full day park.

Pandora - The World of Avatar opening day reports

I like on this site that there is positive and negative viewpoints represented. Let's keep it like that, and not turn into that other site where the pixie dusters swoop in and attack if you say anything negative about Disney. (And I even suspect some of them are paid by Disney to control the...

Pandora - The World of Avatar opening day reports

There has to be more to that. If they had a magicband it would have come up as canceled or not valid as a resort guest when it was scanned. Something tells me all they had was a number on a piece of paper, which is cheeky, but also shame on the CM for just letting them in with that.

Pandora - The World of Avatar opening day reports

I hate people who do that. It's not fair to the resort guests who got stuck waiting in Oasis trying to get in.

    Eisner Vs Iger

Well huge box office doesn't necessarily equal good, it just means a lot of 6 year old girls wanted to see it. That's the problem, yes Iger is maximizing shareholder value and getting every drop out of people's wallets, but a better experience not so much. More premium mall experience, lol.

    Eisner Vs Iger

Well there's not a whole lot of competition in the animation segment, mostly just Dreamworks. So it's not that hard to win an award most years. Frozen was pretty mediocre I thought. Everybody just liked the song, and Disney Channel got all the kids to flock.

    Disney Security?

Unfortunately over on gun forums I read people talking about concealed carry into Disney all the time. They say it has gotten harder since they now run everybody through the metal detectors, but not impossible. Some guns are even mostly polymer now.

Happily ever the biggest nighttime firework display?

Well there's no way they're going to decrease tourist revenue for the biggest theme park draw in the world that the whole local economy depends on over a local fire ban, just isn't going to happen.

News Wishes to be replaced with new 'Happily Ever After' nighttime spectacular

That's what seems odd. Hunchback? Hercules? That stuff is 20 years old and not particularly classic. Surprised it's not Atlantis and Treasure Island too. Seems like they're trying to appeal to a certain age group, one that probably currently is just having toddlers of their own. I hope...

News Wishes to be replaced with new 'Happily Ever After' nighttime spectacular

Well if it's all millennial Disney channel stuff then maybe I won't bother going to see it then. I was going to this week, but now I don't know. I feel like I'll walk away disappointed, and I don't want to do that at MK.

The lines and wait times when Avatar land opens

Ok so let's get to the nuts and bolts here- how much do I have to pay to not have to wait in a 5 hour line after this opens. Previews? VIP tour? Being Iger's nephew? What. I'm not standing in 90 degrees for hours, not gonna happen.

Liquor Store walking distance from WDW?

There may also be places very close on 192 just off Sherbeth Rd., which would be very close to AKL. Probably not walkable though.

Wilderness Lodge DVC additions - Copper Creek Villas & Cabins

In the cabins, the blueprint makes it look like one of the closets on the front porch opens directly into the bathtub, but this can't be right. But it wouldn't be a window either....and it shows the wall ending about halfway across the closet. Weird.

    Spaceship in Spaceship Earth

The last two times I've been in there this past month, that TV was turned off, so I hope that's not gone for good. Was kind of weird hearing the sound without the picture.

New Bon Voyage Breakfast character dining coming to Trattoria al Forno

Remember when the moderate resorts had lounges? One even had a piano player. And real marinas with water sport rentals.

Copper Creek Villas Point Totals Per Night

Well it would make sense that the points chart wouldn't be quite as high as Poly and VGF. Don't expect the purchase costs to be less though, that price per point will keep going up.
