    What’s next for Animal Kingdom?

Unfortunately, what looks next for Animal Kingdom - say the insiders - is eventually reopening with no shows (lion king, rivers of light, nemo, etc) and closing down the walkable zoo. :( Attractions should be do-able, but if you're going for the animals, it will be limited. (and eat before you go)

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Shingles reactivates the virus, but it doesn't give you chickenpox again - it's much different and more painful. (sorry, edited after i realize you are saying you can give someone ELSE chickenpox?) Mayoclinic.org says: "Shingles is caused by the varicella-zoster virus — the same virus that...

So, here's an informal poll without the poll software. Say, as some have said, Disney opens at reduced capacity - only letting in 1,000 - 2,000 folks Who are these folks? A. Folks staying in Disney hotels B. Local AP folks who can drive in C. It's a lottery - like the Willie Wonka golden ticket...

Refunds or cancellations of Disney World Annual Passes

Has anyone just renewed their AP online? If so, is it set up to present and accept current choices? And i assume wdw is still honoring the 30 window past expiration to honor re-up prices? I have received the announcement email, but the fact that so many folks on this thread have to call customer...

    What’s next for Animal Kingdom?

Animal Kingdom has to be more than just a zoo, right? Including a land based on Dinosaurs and a (deleted) land based on mythic creatures are things that elevate it beyond a zoo no matter how you feel about the execution. Beyond IP integration, what else can this park do to make the experience...

Not saying this wrong, but i am trying to wrap my head around it - every store will have a line to get in - with folks six feet apart, right next to another line of people for another store 6 feet apart - for every store and restaraunt and kiosk - lines into the parking lot, in the heat and the...

    Opening WDW with Social Distancing

Perhaps, if masking is mandatory at the parks, face characters would wear masks to make kids feel better and show "we're all in this together".

It's not like we the people will be able to vote on this issue. We need to come up with a scenario that is not one extreme or the other.

What's Still On and What's Now Off

So, to keep with this original topic- what's on or off depends on: 1. when Disney opens - June / Fall2020 / 2021+ 2. how Disney opens - AP/locals because of restricted travel vs You have to be staying on property in order to be "in the bubble" once your health is cleared 3. decisions on no...

    Opening WDW with Social Distancing

With the golden promise of a vaccine being held up as the ultimate deus ex machina, i can tell from these forums that there are quite a few folks who won't be leaving their houses until there's a vaccine, even if it takes a year or 2, and they expect that all theme parks / concerts / movie...

    What’s next for Animal Kingdom?

Before the thread devolves into Dinoland bashing! and/or Zootopia doesn't belong... there's huge swathes of animals that could still be represented at Animal Kingdom. I know if there's no IP tie-in chances are slimmer, but birds, reptiles/amphibians and exotics are well represented at places...

Don't underestimate Disney fans and tourists. Last year they would have heard "half the rides had an hour or more wait in line, you couldn't get into any of the restaurants without booking months beforehand, you could barely squeeze through crowds during a festival, heat index over 100 degrees...

Rumor Guest temp check at bag check?

Lockdown may feel like quarantine at times, but actual quarantine would be much worse - as in, not being allowed to leave your house and relying on the "american cheese product" loaves to show up on your doorstep once a day. I watch too much dystopia for entertainment, sure, but I think it could...

Not old fashioned- just very expensive. Think concert ticket prices. To fill a movie theater at quarter capacity, higher pricing will be a must. folks will save for months to be able to see Frozen3 on the big screen.

In general, every business who wants to become a leader in the pick-up/delivery aspect needs to step up their game. I've heard troubles about Instacart in several parts of my area (Tampa Bay), due to lack of supplies in store; Target has been pushing "pick up", but today we found out we don't...

Single-sided buffets (like at Boma) can have CMs on the other side dishing things out. Other buffets that sit on an island (like deserts at the Tusker House) will probably have to be re-thought.
