    Free dining in the US

Availability very limited. All phone circuits have been busy since 7am. Often no connection is made at all. Will try later today.

Snagging a hard to get ADR

Apparently,no reservations are available past 6pm any day in September in MK . Even days that the MNNSHP is not scheduled. I was told the parks will close at 7pm every day by the WDW dining folks. When I pointed out the actual closing dates the response was well, then that,s all the...

Tropical Storm ERIKA to bring possible severe weather to Central Florida early next week

Great video by PhotoDave 219. My wife and I were there at the same time. We enjoyed the experience. It was amazing how accurate the minute by minute news reporting was. We really found it interesting watching the cast batten down the hatches at the parks. They lashed the swinging signs down and...

    No more park hopping...

One of the main reasons we like to park hop is because, while we love all the parks some in our opinion have better food choices. We opt for the dining plan so for instance, we may spend the day in HS but choose to take the boat over to Epcot for dinner.

    Hurricanes and reservations? Policies?

Be aware, if you staying at POFQ during a hurricane Disney will most likely move all of the Wilderness campground folks to available rooms. That happened to us a couple of years ago. Parking lot was a sea of campers. Food court quickly ran out of food. It was a mob scene for several days after...

Help, please: What's the phone number to call to see if a bounceback is available?

Two years ago while staying at POFQ in August my sister and her husband had an offer in their room ( round clock shaped card) but we did not. I assumed we didn't get an offer not knowing it was open to all who were staying on property. I was about to inquire at the front desk when I saw a number...

    Snakes

I have been staying at Disney hotels since 1982 and have only seen one snake. It was along the curb at POFQ. About two feet long. I forget the type but I know it was confirmed to be absolutely harmless. Poor thing just wanted to get back under cover of vegetation. I would not worry at all. Why...

    AAA Online check-in

What is the advantage of using the on line check feature? Does it simply shorten the check in process? If I have made a special room assignment request ( I know it's only a request, not a guarantee) would I be better off waiting to check in in person? Hope this isn't too off topic.

Disney contracting in-park bus service to mears?

Disney buses We just returned from WDW 8/5 - 8/14, POFQ. The wait for buses was the longest ever. One evening leaving EPOT, we had to wait for 11 buses to fill before finally getting on. The wait was 85 minutes. Another constant problem was waiting to get to the parks. One morning we waited 55...

Anyone been there during a hurricane?

Hurricanes at WDW My wife and I were there for two hurricanes. It was actually fun. The parks were open up to a couple of hours before the storm hit and it was interesting to see the preparations going on. Trash bins being removed. Swinging signs tied down with rope etc. Our only concern was a...
