    Pop Century renovation schedule

Can someone who has been more recently please give an update on the progress of 60s section renovations. That is our favorite section, so hoping to stay there soon.

    Pop Century renovation schedule

Josh did you get a renovated 60s room? We leave in 5 days and my request is for highest floor 60s. I know they were working on building 5, just wondered how far along they were when you were there. Thanks for any info!

(VIDEO) Pop Century - Refurbished Room Tour

So I went back in my online check in room location edit and it looks like I am too late 😩. Somewhere along the line I put “highest floor/60s” and it stuck. It lets me go thru the motions, but updated requests don’t take. Wonder what odds are that I will get “old room” on high floor 60s. Help...

If you could teleport anywhere in WDW right now, where would it be?

Riding thru Living With the Land past that cute yellow farmhouse 😉.

Forgot to ask how you liked it?🤗So, were you on the ground floor & if so, did you notice any difference in noise level with the laminate flooring? We don’t mind ground floor, just worried it might be noisier overhead with the new floors. It’s actually kind of nice to not deal with the elevators.

This is great news!! Thanks so much for taking the time to share the updated info. So now it looks like our chances are better for getting a refurb in the 60s. Maybe I should forget about requesting a top flloor? We were in building five last year. Very convenient location.

    Favorite footwear

I don’t wear sandals for all the walking. I wear Saucony sneakers. I can insert an orthotic for more arch support. Good socks. The Saucony are partly mesh material outers. When they got slightly wet in a light rain at AK last year, they dried quickly. My socks barely got wet. A friend of my...

Is Disney Springs worth driving down a day early?

No, it’s not. Mostly shopping and dining. There is some merchandise that you will only find there, but much of it is in the parks. Food not that great at the restaurants and overpriced. IMHO. Two pieces of fried chicken , mashed potatoes and hush puppies around $25 at Homecomin’ for example.

    Very stupid fastpass + question

<because I do not want to get up at the crack of dawn/rope drop!!> I hear ya!! Will be traveling with a teen & I’ll blame not getting up early enough for rope drop on her (wink wink). A good trick to get an FOP FP is to go to your last day first at your 60 day window. I was able to get 3 FOP FPs...

Status of the flu in DW

It is serious business. I think those that have never had it, just don’t understand. I see people walking around, talking about having the flu. Or kids get sent back to school too soon. Real flu knocks your socks off. When I had it years ago, it made me so weak before I began to get better...

Status of the flu in DW

Interesting about stomach bug. My daughter got her flu shot & had a lighter case. When she went back to school, several of the kids in her high school dance group had a horrible stomach bug. Even the teacher. I thought greeeat, here we go, just over the flu and now she’ll get the stomach junk...

I think I might be done with WDW.

Agree with a lot of what you’ve said here.

Status of the flu in DW

With cancer, I’d be worried. The immune system is weakened. What does your doc say?

Status of the flu in DW

Shot is not 100% defense, but defense none the less. Wouldn’t everyone want a lesser version of this possibly deadly virus?? To me, it is a no brainer & if I had a small child, I’d be more than a little irritated with the “no vaccine” crowd. My daughter is among those. I am holding my breath...

Status of the flu in DW

Washing hands is a good defense, but honestly it is in the air as well. Pretty unavoidable in a park setting, with all the people. Flu shot is your best defense. Not 100% effective, but much better than not getting the vaccine. People forget, vaccines help considerably in not spreading illnesses.

Status of the flu in DW

“I've heard the Buzz Lightyear ride should be avoided.” What does Buzz Lightyear have to do with the flu? I heard on World News the other night that this flu season has not peaked yet. Probably not till May. We are going week of 3/11 for Spring Break. I guess the safe thing would be to avoid...

    Pop Century renovation schedule

I’m assuming with a preferred room we get 50s, 60s or 70s right? Are there preferred in any other decade?
