Tacit differences between Value - Moderate - Deluxe

Just for the record the new Murphy beds at Pop are very comfortable, very quality mattresses. I was actually concerned about those and they turned out to be really nice “real” beds! I believe the awful trundle beds in the moderate Port Orleans Riverside have been replaced. My daughter refused to...

Tacit differences between Value - Moderate - Deluxe

I’ve never had the chance to stay in a Deluxe. I’ll preface this with the fact that I love Pop! I have never had any issue with loud people there. The first time I stayed on site was at Port Orleans Riverside and I had nothing to compare it to. This was prior to Value suites: first at All...

What's the best WDW secret you know?

Marceline to Magic Kingdom was a great tour too! It was suggested when my daughter was too young for the Keys tour. I think she was 15? Anyway, fantastic Haunted Mansion info. Just beware, once seen it cannot be unseen. This tour is also less pricey.

What's the best WDW secret you know?

Question for those who stay in the values.

Yikes, wonder what happened with your room notification. That was odd. We’ve never had a problem with that. Our room is usually ready quickly. I love the values, but not sure I would go as far as comparing Riverside & Values food courts. I think RIverside’s was nicer. We tried AOA’s food court...

    Favorite Underrated Animatronic!

I think we have all become completely desensitized and that is why the magnificent Na’vi are under appreciated in Na’vi River Journey. All I hear is criticism of this attraction. I think they are awesome!!!!

    Photography etiquette within the parks

I think my worst encounter was with a Disney photographer in Main square at MK. We’d stood in line to get pic with character and when I went to use my own camera the Disney photographer practically stepped on me. He was all over the place. He was extremely rude. Not generally the case, maybe...

Who else is thinking about waiting until 2020 or so to go back to the World?

“Not sure if I can hold off, but I am seriously considering it.” I hear ya! My youngest is now 17 & we had gone every year since she turned 5. This year (Senior year) she is supposed to go with her Brigade (dance) group from school. Don’t know if it’s her multiple visits (I may have ruined...

What is "it" that brings you back to WDW?

Oh no! Sad to hear you feel this way.

What is "it" that brings you back to WDW?

This is a great topic/question and something that quite frankly is very daunting to my poor husband! I think I have visited 10 years in a row now and I am sure I am not alone and there are people who have gone above and beyond that number. I think it is just so wonderful to do something...

WSJ: WDW a favorite spot to scatter ashes

I saw something about this on television, but not sure what program I was watching. Possibly Travel Channel and something for Halloween. I remember when we went in the Marceline to Magic Kingdom tour and saw the inner workings/behind the scenes at HM, they mentioned something about someone...

Question for those who stay in the values.

Thanks for this clarification. I thought I was losing my marbles.

Question for those who stay in the values.

We are Pop folks, but having wandered over to AOA, I can totally see her point, lol! AOA is definitely brighter. We were in the gift shop there and it is like being in an alternate universe; similar yet different. I think the Values are awesome for younger Disney guests and I don’t mind the cute...

Question for those who stay in the values.

We’ve stayed all over, 70s, 90s, but I think 60s has become our favorite. 60s preferred if you don’t mind paying a little more. I like preferred vs preferred pool. Getting to close to the pool can be noisy. Although we are usually out early enough and back late enough that it doesn’t matter...

Any theories on why Disney poorly maintains many of their rides?

I would assume it is getting harder and harder to find the time to properly maintain rides with all the extra events and extended hours. I am just happy that SM is still there!! One of our favorites for sure, even though it may not be considered politically correct by many. I am old enough to...

What's the best WDW secret you know?

We did this one morning on our way to our Crystal Palace breakfast. So much fun. This was back when the older Good Morning show still took place above the train station. We rode up Main Street and I got great video of it all!

    General Film Discussion (With Trailers)

Can someone please explain the ending of the movie Submergence with James McAvoy and Alicia Vikander. Spoiler alert: does he blow himself up, ir is he hit by something? What does he do with his teeth??? Strange movie.

    Tusker house

We weren’t so lucky with late breakfast. Preferred early dinner. Seemed like they were slow to put out lunch and breakfast was getting skimpy. Still enjoyed the overall experience. Felt that breakfast was very experience for what we had.

Question for those who stay in the values.

Wow, never had the shared Pop, but have occasionally used AOA’s to get to Pop, rather than wait. The strange thing is sharing when things are slow. We are always there for Spring Break. I am always very impressed with Disney’s efficiency as far as transportation goes. I think the longest we ever...
