What caused them to do a ride (Splash Mountain) based on a movie they weren't releasing?

It was based off the movie Splash but it flopped when movies such as Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones and the temple of doom, Terminator, Gremlins and Beverly Hill Cops

    Fifth Park

I don't see a new park even getting announced for the next 5 years, Disney has started some massive projects lately (New fantasyland, Avatarland/night at Animal Kingdom, Star Wars and Toy Story Land, Disney Springs revamp) and I think they would like to take a little break after completing these...

    You've just crossed over into...????

While the Twilight Zone might not be as popular as it was before, I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon, it just fits the ride perfectly and I don't think that Disney would have a reason to change it

    S/O Overheard at WDW

"Walt Disney World is just a scam for people to BUY FASTPASSES so they can actually go on rides", this is as we are in a 5 minute wait time for Toy Story Mania at 7 at night smh

    Disney during Independence Day

Ok cool thanks for the info! We've been to WDW in June and August before but never in July so it's good not to be so surprised. Also maybe I'll see you at Typhoon Lagoon :)

    Disney during Independence Day

Great idea, like I said above, we're going to spend the day swimming/walking around resorts. If you want to watch fireworks, I'd recommend going to the TTC and taking the monorail to the Polynesian and sitting on the beach and watching fireworks, it's a little crowded but it's something you'll...

Our first day of our trip is the 2nd so we might end up spending the 3rd at Hollywood Studios and the 4th going around and looking at the Hotels and then watching the fireworks from our hotel, the Grand Floridian

    Disney during Independence Day

Ok thanks for the advice guys! Our gameplan is to either swim or go to the other hotels or spend a little time at the park before dinner and then go to the parks from 5-closing so that we can try and avoid the massive crowds and extreme heat

Some guy broke my nose at Epcot

We were staying at Saratoga Springs in early December in maybe 2011 and if you've ever stayed there, you know about the stairs leading to the rooms. Well, we were walking behind a group of people and someone got tripped up and just completely ate it on the stairs, one the worse injuries I ever...

Blizzard beach or typhoon? Which is better?

Depends on your taste, I'd say Typhoon Lagoon is much more rounded with the lazy river, water coaster and slides, and giant wave pool but Blizzard Beach, in my opinion is better, has much more thrilling water slides and such, including one of the tallest in the world

Ever see someone get busted at Disney?

I saw someone get turned back when trying to enter the contemporary on a particularly busy day at Magic Kingdom

    Disney during Independence Day

My family and I are going on our annual trip during the first week of July and I was curious with some of the usual questions How busy are the parks? How hot is it? Anything special that we should go do or see in terms of the fourth? And is anyone else going? More specifically is anyone staying...

What are some "Traditions" Your Family has when you go on a Disney Vacation?

Go on every ride in two days, it sounds hard but honestly we almost accomplished it in one a couple of times, you just have to be good with fast passes and extra magic hours and crowds

Should we take mid day pool breaks in August?

We're going in July and we're just gonna possibly go to the parks before 3 but probably just swim or explore and then stay from like 3-closing, it's a good system for my family
