    Is Le Cellier worth it?

Overall I enjoyed it. I liked the vibe of the room, and the Canada pavilion overall, and my steak was good. But not sure it was worth two dining credits. Maybe one and a half, based solely on the maple creme brulee.

Contemporary Bay Lake Villa vs. Beach Club Villa?

I was Mr. Routine when my kids were that young, despite telling my circle of friends and relatives before my kids were born that I would never be Mr. Routine. That lasted about 5 minutes. So on resort-switch day the scenery changed, but the timing with regard to wake-up times, midday breaks or...

Contemporary Bay Lake Villa vs. Beach Club Villa?

Fair enough - to each their own. My kids were young at the time, but not toddlers in diapers. I found it pretty simple, but that was just my experience.

Contemporary Bay Lake Villa vs. Beach Club Villa?

Why is that? My children were small when I did it. I could see if you have 5-10 bags that you don’t want to repack a few days into the trip. But it was great wheeling the stroller right onto the boat or walking into Epcot as opposed to having to fold it up to get up on a crowded bus.

News Rafiki's Planet Watch is closing Oct. 21st will reopen in Summer 2019

Bummer - my daughter loved Rafiki's, especially the animal care center and petting zoo. I also really liked conversing with CMs on the walk at those little kiosk stops along the way. It was a nice respite from the rest of the park. The jungle and expedition trails can be a nice get-away as well...

Contemporary Bay Lake Villa vs. Beach Club Villa?

If ease to parks is a priority, as it is for me when I go, then I would suggest splitting your trip at staying at a MK resort for when you are going to go to MK, then move to Beach Club or a different Epcot one (will Riviera be open by then?) for the other parks. I love WL and its theming, much...

    DVC Resale vs Direct

I'm considering a contract and also weighing direct versus resale. I like the idea of buying direct I suppose, to get all the benefits/perks, but I've yet to see someone say being able to use those points for cruises, adventure trips or the other RCI resorts, which you can't do on resale, is...

    Help me decide

Stay at both. If it works out $$-wise, a few days in one and a few days in the other...I find split stays to be pretty easy. Not for everyone, but a good way to experience different resorts on the same trip.

Hoop de doo Revue dinner show?

My daughter loved this show. Food was good. Easy boat ride over. I'm not usually a fan of the two-dining-credit dinners or dinner shows, but this one I felt was worth it. We were on the floor, maybe halfway back, a little more, and she got to be a small part of the show, which for her meant...

    Lunch close to MK?

Whispering Canyon Café over at WL is a fun time with good food. Nice boat ride as well.

Taking a break in the day back to the hotel. Pros and Cons

After my first trip back to Disney since being a teenager a few years ago, when we stayed at Animal Kingdom, I've done split resorts on my trips since then to stay at ones not far from whatever park I'll be going to, or at least to the best of my planning ability. Because you're right, leaving...

Grrr, can't think up a dinner reservation on our Magic kingdom day.

I really enjoyed Skippers Canteen myself. Go on the Jungle Cruise right before you eat ... Most people seem give a thumbs down to Tony's Town Square, but I liked it, or at least I thought the chicken parm was good. Whispering Canyon Cafe over at the WL is a fun time as well. I like BOG for...

    Planning a split stay recommendations.

That's good to know. Overall, I wouldn't characterize my experiences as inconvenient or a headache. Sure, I had some explaining to do at the restaurant and had to make an extra front desk stop or two to resolve some issues, move over snack credits or whatever, but I didn't find any of that to be...

    Planning a split stay recommendations.

I don't remember the meal plan split that way - not saying you're wrong on having to use up the first round of credits - but I just recall having a front desk person move the snacks remaining from my first meal plan over to my second plan. I had already exhausted my table and counter service...

    Planning a split stay recommendations.

I’ve done two split stays; once on a three day trip. I find that the meal plan takes a bit of extra planning since you basically have one meal plan for the first resort and a second one for the other. There is a little overlap since the first plan ends at midnight on the day you move and the...

    First Deluxe Resort Stay?

If you can't decide, split the trip between a couple resorts based on which parks you'll be visiting during that time, and save time going from resort to park and back. They make the move pretty easy to do.

    Beach Club or Boardwalk?

Really want to stay at BC on my next trip. I'm more interested in the parks than the pools but it does look like an awesome pool there. It doesn't seem like the theming is much to write home about in that it just looks like a nice resort rather than a nice Disney resort, but I guess that doesn't...

    First Deluxe Resort Stay?

I've stayed at WL, AKL and Boardwalk Inn. I'd like to try Poly, though I always feel like there's almost too much activity going on there with people not staying there coming through for one reason or another. Whereas the WL is so relaxing in my view, and although the water taxi may be a bit...

    Universal Orlando

Just got back from a Universal trip - I bought the 2-day, get 2 days free P2P tickets off of Undercover Tourist. Didn't save a ton, but more than I did at Universal's site, Groupon, Plum Benefits (work discounts) or one of those "Best of Orlando" type sites. Every little bit helped I suppose...
