    Universal Dilemma

Uni doesn't require quite (anything like!) the same forward planning as WDW and has so much going for it. As long as you have a rough idea of park layout and have those EPs, you'll be great and will have a fab time. We got so much done each day by being at the park for opening and using the EPs...

Change of plans, first day ideas..

We are doing almost the same but 2 weeks earlier!! Will arrive mid afternoon at CR on a MNSSHP night, but our body clocks will be on UK time (5 hours ahead) so we're just going to check in, head to Capt Cook's at the Poly (were just going to do Contempo Cafe but two boys like Cook's better) for...

    Contemporary Garden Wing

Have looked around for info specific to the garden wing of the Contemporary, where we'll be staying in October. There's so much about staying in the main tower but what about the garden wing? What are your thoughts/tips?

    180 Days Dining Reservation Issues

@Annalise Davis did you figure out what the problem was or was it an issue with the website?

    Tusker House or Chef Mickeys

We loved Tusker - Donald greets you at the door for a photo then you meet Minnie, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey in safari costumes. We enjoyed the food and the jungle juice. Trying Chef Mickey this trip for the first time. Food looks similar to other breakfast buffets but characters meet in chef gear...

    My Experience!

Universal is fab. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Pity about FJ as it's such a great ride. We did a split stay last time-4 nights (3days) Uni then moved over to WDW for 10 nights (11 days). This time we're starting in WDW for 7 nights and then moving to Uni for 7 nights because we want to spend more...

    First timer- Many Questions

You do not want to drive in Paris!! :jawdrop:;) We stood by the Arc De Triomphe, which is pretty much set in the middle of a giant roundabout, and it was CRAZY!! Every car you pass in Paris has dents. BTM is ace as is Phantom Manor. Shame about Blue Lagoon. We loved it, especially watching the...

    Universal Dilemma

You're very welcome. RPR looks so beautiful but my husband (who, bless him, lets me get on with the planning) is a huge rock fan and he loves the HRH. Enjoy!

    Universal Dilemma

I'm pretty sure you can check in as early as before early entry to HP. I'm sure I remember reading on this board that someone checked in at 7am, got there EP and was at the park for early entry. Your room may likely not be ready if you want to drop stuff but can leave it with hotel as you do...

    Universal Dilemma

We were $50, including tip, for a taxi from Uni to CBR at WDW in 2013 when we did a split stay. That was just one way. We did 4 nights HRH then 10 nights CBR. The onsite Uni perks were amazing. The EPs are fab. You wait a little longer than with FP+ at WDW but 10-15 mins on average. You put...

    How long?

I think I love Seuss landing more than them! But they do love one fish, two fish, especially when they deliberately get us all wet. My husband doesn't want to drive over there and I'm too much of a goggler at what's going on to drive - better as a passenger! Onsite works but there are so many...

    Big Hero 6 cupcake!?!

Noooooo! Am feeling Hiro and Baymax may not be there either when we go in Oct.

    How long?

Why, thank you! Don't be fooled by the littlest one, though. He is most likely to be a criminal mastermind when he grows up!!

    How long?

I have 2 boys who love HP but also superheroes, dinosaurs and have fond memories of their Dr Seuss books. We LOVE Disney but had such a ball at Uni on our last trip that we are doing a split stay:7 nights CR at WDW and 7 at HRH at Uni. We will be doing Seaworld and Aquatica as well as taking a...

Just missed out + ADR thoughts!!

We have all these!! Boma is for dinner though, but Tusker breakfast, ohana dinner and beaches on a hopping day. Love Tusker breakfast and Ohana dinner. Looking forward to beaches. We're paying oop and splitting 2 mains so we can fit in the kitchen sink which isn't on DDP. Earl of Sandwich good...

    Make your mind up already!

We opt for old favourites (Ohana, CP and Liberty Tree-closed when we're there this year ) and try to make ADRs for at least a couple of never dones. I had my list made and had them booked at the 6am 180 day deadline because I wanted early morning CP and Tusker ADRs. Had Park Fare (never...

    Ohana experience tonight!

    180 Days Dining Reservation Issues

I had issues but it was because I was a day early! The ADR calculator I used was a day off - my excuse anyway. When I went on next day it was fine. I lucked into a BoG at dinner on day 5. Our 180 was over 2 weeks ago, maybe before US free dining available? Hope you get it sorted.

    Thanks! :)

    The Orlando Eye??

We're taking some time to visit in October. Definitely want to do the eye and am considering madam tussaud's and the sealife centre but will give the skeleton museum a miss. And the Sugar Factory had me at sugar. I thought I read something about a multi-attraction ticket, like a visit to 3...
