News Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Standby Line and Boarding Groups at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Very short! Like seconds. The couple in front of us at Slinky rope drop got group 15, we (couple) got 73, and the group of four behind us got 87. We all tapped the join boarding group button within seconds of each other.

News Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Standby Line and Boarding Groups at Disney's Hollywood Studios

First three groups were just called 20 mins after opening. Keeping everything crossed!

News Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Standby Line and Boarding Groups at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Group 73. All 63 'guaranteed' groups were gone within seconds this morning. It really is a game of luck rather than first come first served!

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

I'm no insider, but I do know a bit about developing software such as the VQ/BG system. It wouldn't surprise me if ROTR uses the VQ for the last time on March 3, then MMRR picks it up on March 4.

Yes, you’ll be fine. Lightsaber experience is 30 mins max.

Magic Kingdom Overhaul as a Response to Epic Universe?

IMHO what MK needs is something - anything - to scoop up the crowds, be that new entertainment or a massive e-ticket or two. The MSUSA theatre would’ve been perfect for that, assuming the show schedule would’ve been regular enough. Gutted that one got cancelled.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Ratatouille at DLP has suffered badly from floor marking over the years. The geek in me finds this a frustrating reality, but I’m 100% sure most guests don’t care. Their eyeline is directed to exactly what Imagineering wants them to see, which isn’t the floor.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

I flew over from the UK especially for those Passholder previews in August, and it was busier in Batuu than it was during my next visit in October. Today, on the other hand, the crowds in SWGE are insane. All that promotion must be paying off.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

I wasn’t a Passholder at the time TSL opened, so could someone describe how those make-up events worked, please?

    NOW at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Insanely busy today at DHS. Two hour line for MFSR, all the way back to the Toy Story entrance/exit area. What’s the longest wait time you’ve ever seen for this? Seven rides over the last three months but I’ve never seen more than an hour wait myself.

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

Had to giggle to myself visiting the Epcot Experience this week (which is great, btw). If the VT in the 360 film is anything to go by, the Rat ride is a 100% carbon copy of the DLP version us DLP fans have been enjoying for years. No bad thing, to be honest, but I'd like it to have some...

    News Tomorrowland love

I visited Magic Kingdom this past week, my previous visit being in August. In just two months there's been a noticeable improvement in the land's aesthetic. New paint and the new sign make a big difference - but there's still soooo much to do to get Tomorrowland looking really classy again. I...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

I'm just back in the UK (this morning) from WDW, and the more time passes the more noticeable this is. I'm a Passholder at both WDW and DLP and the quality of DLP's attractions is so much more 'extra' at the moment, and the quality of their entertainment offerings has been improving...

MSEP to Return to WDW for 50th Celebration?

Please no. It's fine for a bit of nostalgia but it's completely dated and the fact it keeps coming back undermines the integrity of all those 'glow away forever' performances

    Reduction in Air -Conditioning Usage?

I welcome the reduction in AC use, if there is one. I haven't noticed on any of my trips this year. I still feel unpleasantly cold indoors at Disney and always have. Aircon's so bad for your health and the environment and there are much more pleasant, eco-friendly and cost effective ways to cool...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

So it's basically the RnR ride vehicle with a new coat. Nothing wrong with that, although I suspect there'll be some with high expectations from this attraction who may be disappointed

Any rumours about Passholder and/or cast member previews in November? I can't wait for this attraction 😍

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

I don’t think there’ll be much in the way of new attractions by then, so you’d mostly be doing a greatest hits tour. If festivals are your thing, the last few years have seen a big improvement in the quality of entertainment at DLP. The Pirates and Princesses and the Lion King and Jungle...

What is something you ALWAYS do in Magic Kingdom?

Dole Whip, more recently with the pineapple upside down cake - nom! And Splash and BTMRR

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

I’m not an authority on any of this, but if they did re-theme it to Mission: Breakout (which I wouldn’t mind because it would make thematic sense), I doubt they’d close the ride until the rest of Marvel Land is open, as it would make WDSP even less attractive, especially without RnRC. Might as...
