The way I see it, I'm not just paying for the food or the service, especially in Walt Disney World. I'm paying for the full experience.....time spent with family, happiness that can't be measured by the dollar, the ambience of the place, making memories I'll cherish in my old age. Hard to put a...
I lived in Europe for almost 5 years, and one thing I learned is that Europeans do not let the weather dictate their happiness as much as we Americans do. Another thing I learned....Americans aren't as popular around the globe as I thought they were.
There hasn't been any restaurant I've hated, or even a meal that was ever bad, and I've had many, but as far as I'm concerned The Wave at the Contemporary is a "one and done." Won't be headed back there anytime soon.
As for restaurants that have exceeded my expectations, Narcoosee's was a...
I'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes, but I just checked out the dining section, and I'm finding reviews written from 5,6,7 years ago......ummmmm, isn't this a new feature on wdwmagic? How could the reviews for particular restaurants be that old?
I crave something I've never actually HAD.....those damn turkey legs. Ooooohhhh, want one so bad! I always say I'm gonna get one, but never have. I would feel like a pig walking around with one of those in my fist.
And that's exactly what I'd be if I could find a way to secretly get one...
The first time my wife and I rode 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, the ride stopped at an upward incline right during Wishes. One of the best moments of my many visits to The World. The coaster stopped for about 3 minutes, and we just SAT in the glory.
For ambience and atmosphere, I really like the place, but I have never had any of their seafood dishes. The last time I went, I had the braised pork belly. Loved it. My wife is a vegetarian and loves the Reef.
They, "could have,"but "No,"they should NOT have. Big difference. I liked the Jack Sparrow additions, don't get me wrong, but for longevity's sake and pure nostalgia, the Pirates I first saw at Disneyland (way back in the 70's) rule supreme. Don't mess with my childhood, man! Just don't.
We were staying at the Grand Floridian at Christmas time, my wife was downstairs in the lobby and I was on my way down from the 3rd floor via elevator, and as the door was closing I see Mickey, Goofy and a Cast Member heading straight towards the elevator.
I didn't catch the door in time, but I...
For something sweet, the cheesecake at Narcoosee's is the best I've ever had. Gonna sneak down there again for a couple of days in July and already have reservations for it.
For a lunch item, I really like the African Stew at The Mara in the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and for dinner I like Le...
@DarthFiscus....We have stayed at 9 of the Disney sites and the Grand Floridian (I never use acronyms....because the military just had WAY too many) is, was, and will probably always be my favorite.
Yeah, it sure is!! Can't wait till they reveal who the baby daddy is.....as soon as they do, I'll start throwing my chair around my office just to get the full effect.
Finally, someone brought up the "smell" of Florida water! I've noticed it from my very first visit (1992), and most people I've talked to about it don't seem to notice the smell. Proof at last! I am NOT crazy....and I actually can't stand the smell by the way.
As for my favorite subtle...
As for your question, though....yes, it would be nice if they added multiple missions like they did with Star Tours. Before they updated that ride, I barely ever made the time to ride it. Now, it's a must do...that, and my kids totally love it.
