Well, now I understand; that makes sense. That must be some insanely thick red tape to have a snail's pace response to a one month $500 million dollar box office draw from one film. If I were a fan of the film, like so many here, I'd feel cheapened by the lazy, cheap park events they tossed...

What I don't understand is, why didn't they start planning a brand new ride way back when the film hit it's first huge milestone of $500 million so quickly after release? To be exact this milestone took only one month. In comparison, Tangled pulled in $591 million in its entire box office run...

It would certainly bring a slight bit of validation to all of the "bu-bu-but tourism in Norway has gone up because of Frozen! THAT makes it relevant to the pavilion!!" arguments and would be quite a bit easier to swallow for those of us who are not a fan of the transition. But to quote Tom...

While I am still excited for my upcoming trip, I have to agree with you. This post hits the nail on the head, and I'd have to say it's the best post on this entire thread, IMHO.

This is a great idea. They have so much space to make any kind of Frozen attraction they want in the area you've shown, that it's quite obvious they're going for the quick, cheap, & dirty fix putting Frozen in World Showcase. It's not as if it wasn't clear already, but this just reinforces it...

Oh I agree, it would fit better behind Dumbo. But then again, I can pretty much guarantee, even though it would be completely out of place in Tomorrowland, there would be no #savetomorrowlandspeedway campaign if they were to tear it down to make way for a new Frozen attraction. :hilarious:

Boy, that sure makes sense. The movie grosses $1.2 billion (with a B) and they pitch the quick, easy, cheap sell?!

At this point... honestly... I really hope this decision comes back to bite Disney right in their John Brown hind parts so they might make smarter decisions in the future. As much as I dislike Frozen (I really, really think the movie is a piece of garbage), as big of a hit as it is, it DESERVES...

I wholeheartedly agree, @Lee . Actually, I've agreed with pretty much everything I've seen you post on this thread thus far. So, if I may piggyback... the theme park ticket prices are the same across EPCOT, AK and DHS (MK is more expensive), so Disney is not hurting for $$$ to invest in...

Can you please elaborate on your opinion on how Frozenland would be a "perfect fit" in EPCOT? Because it doesn't fit in with the overall theme of Future World OR World Showcase... at all. If you're looking for a perfect fit for Frozenland, that would be in the Magic Kingdom. I just DO NOT...
