This is insane. I live in NYC too and spend $1 on soda at McDicks. Funnily enough I also went to the Cheesecake factory two days ago and spent $40 TOTAL for two people with drinks. It was the Sunday brunch though. I have no idea how you are getting to these outrageous prices.

Honestly, Bumper Cars might fit the area in the interim.

I've talked to multiple friends who work in and around DHS... It's because of COVID, and this is not the only attraction in the resort currently being affected by staffing issues from positive cast members.

I still have to believe that they haven't shown enough of the thing to voice a strong opinion one way or another. However, I would never drop 6K on something like this, so my opinion might now have any valuable weight, as I'm not the target audience.

Both the Half and full courses look lame in comparison to the W&D half. I don't understand why you spend such little time in DHS. Additionally, you spend less time in DAK in this full marathon than you spent in the W&D half. Is this normal?

On my trip over the week for the Half Marathon, I asked my old CM friends from my area what/if anything has changed. Based on their response, it doesn't seem like the merge ratios themselves have changed at all, and they're still using the phase cards I have in my wallet. That doesn't mean...

I ran 8:20 and I walked myself towards the front of s2 when I got there.

I didn't go to any other race prior than W&D, but was put into s2 for the half. It was just a corral and we went ~ 5 minutes after the Elite/S1 group. I'm not sure this helps in any way lol

Stayed at the Dolphin over the race weekend. This hotel looks more like the Universal surf hotels than anything resembling the Swan or Dolphin. I'm sure it's a great hotel, but it was distracting from the outside.

Really Friggin cold!

Very happy with my results for my first Half Marathon ever! Ran the thing in 1:50, although my phone said 1:43. I cramped up on mile nine and those chews legitimately revived me. I think I've learned that 10K is my favorite distance based on this/time to train.
