News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

We're still out of luck, but one of our traveling companions just messaged to say that they've booked their park tickets for November. So, it's working!

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

The way this has worked out for us, we got to make two trips and would still have nine months of refunds. And Rtings *really* likes that Samsung Q80...

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

Disney really wants me to cancel my trip, get an annual pass refund, and buy a shiny new TV. I sincerely appreciate that everyone in this thread is fanatically doing the same angry waiting as me, though.

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

I swear I'm not trying to be a pedant. I just want everyone to have the most accurate information. So, to be clear, all WDW DVC resorts will reopen, and Vero Beach/Hilton Head will come back even sooner. Aulani and Grand Californian still don't have return dates yet. (And yes, WDW properties...

Unrelated but I LOVE your avatar. We were just re-watching a couple of episodes the other night.

    Buzz Load Area Changes?

I don't know what's happening at Buzz Lightyear, but I wanted to mention something here. We went last Monday, which was a Disney After Hours event. We had a FastPass for 6 and showed up soon afterward. The FastPass line stretched to the restaurant seating area. That FastPass took 35 minutes to...

    Advanced Dining Reservations question

I suspect that the point of confusion here is that I have a DVC stay booked. The first night is a one-bedroom at Hospitality House. The rest of the trip is a studio at Hospitality House. I certainly have two confirmation numbers, which no one is disputing. However, I have what's tantamount to a...

    Advanced Dining Reservations question

I mean, that's not what the IT guy at Disney said, but you're entitled to that opinion.

    Advanced Dining Reservations question

It's one resort stay. A well-implemented system would recognize that. And Disney cast members tell me that it should. Sometimes, it doesn't, though.

    Advanced Dining Reservations question

Yes, I can update now. That's exactly what happened. When the second part of my split stay opened this morning, my full booking window opened. A cast member told me yesterday that they would make an exception and book for me. Since it was more than 20 reservations, I wanted to do it myself. I've...

    Advanced Dining Reservations question

I've investigated this. I definitely have my reservations booked. The problem appears to be that I have a split stay. The system recognizes that I have a reservation through a certain date, but it will only allow me to book ADRs for the first hotel stay. Unfortunately, that's just one day. So...

    Advanced Dining Reservations question

Hey, friends. I just logged on the DVC site and watched in horror as the countdown hit 180. It was a fluke that I even noticed, and I panicked as I tried to book some ADRs. Since we were just at Disney last week, I had given this no thought at all. This is the first time I've ever tried to book...

A little late for a reservation...

In my experience, cast members only get cranky about an ADR when you're at least 30 minutes late. Generally, they can take a look at you and tell whether you've had one of those days where they shouldn't say anything about it, too. Cast members are just the best.

    The Wave or Kona Cafe?

I'm ride or die with Kona. As a picky eater, I've found The Wave problematic and secretly hope it switches to a steakhouse.

    Be Our Guest Dinner

When we were there 10 days ago, French Onion Soup was still available as an appetizer. My wife got it, as did another member of our party. I was just reminded that we could get a children's appetizer. However, we were told that we would have to pay the adult price.

Amazon has these, but they're just not the same as the real thing in Brugges: https://www.amazon.com/Guylian-Belgian-Chocolate-Shells-Perles/dp/B000LQJKI6/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=seashell+chocolate&qid=1566524548&s=gateway&sr=8-3

    Predictions! Secret WDC Project — August 22 @ D23

I once brought about $300 worth of chocolate back from Brugges. The woman at the specialty store asked me when we were leaving. She probably thought that if I stayed any longer, she could buy a boat.

News Expose reveals WDC control in online fan community

I totally get your point and respect the critical evaluation here. Something that I'll say as a total outsider is that a lot depends on how often a person has experienced this sort of attack before. People react to something much differently the first time than the 20th. Like anything else...
