'The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler Weekend'

Didn't it sell out almost immediately last year? Maybe word got out that the race has issues?

    KT Tape

I do use KT tape. I tape calves and ankles, as I was did 5 years of high impact marching band that beat them up, and they tend to bug me toward the end of a race. I do use the KT Tape Pro, and I find that it works better than the standard KT Tape...even to the point of being hard to remove. They...

10k and Dopey Challenge Added to Marathon Weekend

I really don't think the miles are the hard part....at least not for the seasoned runner....the 5k and 10k will be a real breeze. The real test comes on day 4 in a row of getting up at 2 am and getting on a bus, with your legs getting progressively more worn out.

Bib placement when running with a jacket on

I've pinned it to my shorts in cold weather races....might not work for females, who run with shorter inseams than the guys do, though.

10k and Dopey Challenge Added to Marathon Weekend

We all know that there is a group that wants whatever the "Best" medal is....which means this will sell out quickly. The price is astronomical, but they'll get it. I was going to run the Everest challenge, until I Saw what they are charging for a 5k.

10k and Dopey Challenge Added to Marathon Weekend

It's interesting. I'd never run it, but it's interesting. That's 45 miles over 3 days...and that's a beating on the legs. They should have just made the old dopey official, and not added another race, IMO.

    What did you do?

2 Miles this morning followed by a good weights session. Trying to put on a little bit of muscle without sacrificing anything from my running. I'll need a little more muscle for my new work appointment.

    What did you do?

I like having a lower drop, hence the reason I run in Kinvara's most of the time. However, they have no arch support. I was looking at the Saucony Mirage, as it boasts the Kinvara's heel to toe drop, but seems to have a bit more support.

    What did you do?

5k this morning. I have pain in my arches, so going back to my Saucony Guide's. They helped, but the shoe doesn't breathe as well as my kinvara. I may need something in between.

    Disney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend

From everything I've heard, this was NOT the case at the full marathon. We talked to a couple of people who congratulated us as we wore our medals, and said they were swept, and did not get medals.

    What did you do?

Yeah, I'm going to try and run every day this month. At least 1 mile. I have a huge obstacle in front of me in a couple days, as a major winter storm is bearing down on us, and I may to crash at my parent's house, which is a 10 minute drive from work, rather than the 45 I usually drive in good...

    What did you do?

Nice pic Joel. That'll be one fit dog by the time you're done with it. Ran 5k yesterday morning early, then worked 12 hrs. I'll run after work tonight to get another run in. Trying to force myself to find time to make runs happen.

    What did you do?

2 miles this morning. I've decided to make March all about running. I'm going to run as much as I can, and today was the first day of that.

    What did you do?

Firstoff - Congrats Joel - I have nothing but respect for those that can welcome an animal into their home. We currently don't have any, as we have crazy schedules, and are not home regularly enough to care for one properly. I had POSC training for work today (Principles of Subject...

    Disney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend

The food trucks serve mostly breakfast fare, and a lot of them are serving various types of bagels. They also offer the fattier foods, but I'm guessing only people like family members that go along for support are eating that stuff, as they are parked in the family reunion area.

    What did you do?

5k yesterday morning. My first run since the marathon.....a month ago....yeah, i got lazy. Felt good and strong and ran well. It was on the treadmill, as I can't exactly run outside right now, as I live outside the city, and the roads aren't exactly safe with all the snow and ice. Felt great...

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

In order to see you go through the Magic Kingdom, your family should probably come to the family reuinion area with you before the race. When they make the call to corrals, then they should hop the monorail to the MK. It will take awhile for them to get there due to the large amount of people...

    Disney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend

Wish we were going to run it again. We loved the princess half last year.....

'The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler Weekend'

I'd agree with that on paper, but every other marathon involves the interiors of at least 2 parks. Even W&D goes through AK before it ends up back at Epcot for the after party.

A One-Time Only Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge Trip Report

We had the same realization - uh oh - there is nobody going in. Your mind is playing tricks on you anyway at this point in the race, and those little seeds of doubt are just given room to grow when you can no longer see the back of the pack. I had to remind myself that there was over 3 miles...
