Good point....actually makes a lot of sense. Because of my morning race nerves, I'm used to running on a nearly empty stomach. I ran on a full stomach for the first time in forever in this race. My body wasn't used to that.

Part of the mystery of running sometimes. Things aren't always going to go right, and you won't always know why. I also know I PR'd the week before, so I have nothing to hang my head about. I'll just refocus on the next task at hand....the WDW Marathon.

I was doubling down at every water stop, taking both powerade and water. Although my wife now tells me I went through the last 2 without taking anything. It bothers me that parts of the race are fuzzy.

We were going to register for the princess 1/2 while at the January expo. They were giving $10 off, as well as a tote bag. However, the computers were painfully slow, and the RunDisney personnel on site were of no help....we registered when we got home instead of wasting time.

I typically don't eat much before a race, as I tend to get race day nerves. Typically half a bagel or a banana is all I can stomach. Once I'm running, the nerves settle out and I can actually take my gels and such regularly without problems. I run a lot after work at night, so I'm used to...
