    WDW Reopening Estimates

Hard to disagree with that logic. There's definitely way too many amateur bloggers in the Disneysphere to take most of them seriously. That being said, the content this particular blogger is reporting on is real. Thomas Mazloum did say what he was quoted as saying. Worse the video made it...

How much of Disney World has to be open for you to go?

I agree....Like I said, the chance that WDW would prorate its prices is nil. I'm just saying this is my POV on it. I do suspect Disney will feel this pinch in terms percentages. I just dont think it will be enough for them to change....

How much of Disney World has to be open for you to go?

Simply put, I'm not going during any restrictions unless WDW prorates the prices of tickets and lodging by a corresponding amount....and we all know the chances of that are close to nil. So I'll wait until they can offer me a full product, for my full dollar.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I've split out your comments because I think each points deserves individual kudos! Yeah, its weird....walk around in 90 degree high humidity heat. gonna have a lot of people passing out....and those are the physically fit folks. (we know WDW has a fair share of the not-so-physically fit folks...

POLL: When are you planning to return to Walt Disney World?

Had a trip to DLR scheduled for April 8-13. Canceled in March about a week or two before they announced it closed. I have a cruise on the DCL Magic this summer in the mediterranean. That trip is all but a goner at this point. Booked a trip for the last two weeks of August to make up for the...

Is it "okay" to expect better?

I want to focus on just two of your questions, and bring in a third....is it ok to pay significantly more than inflation/COLA (cost of living adjustment) year after year and expect the same or less? these three questions really govern pretty much everything else above. the cost of a Disney...

News Epcot Forever to debut as interim show before full Reflections of Earth replacement

I say this with the disclaimer that I fully understand commenting on this, without seeing the fireworks show in person is dubious. But I just watched the show online....and I am disgusted. What crap! I can't even expand beyond that blanket statement. The whole thing is garbage. We went from...

    New Seven Seas Lagoon Resort

Anyone know if the location has been settled on? It was always my understanding that the area just north of the TTC is not suitable for construction (sinkhole prone earth)....That doesn’t leave many other spots...

News Expose reveals WDC control in online fan community

I wrote on the other thread that this article is a mind @#$%! Sitting at the top of the list is the possibility that Spirit was behind the article (and after I re-read it, it definitely fits his writing style). He was certainly one of the most provocative characters this board has ever seen...

Star Wars / Marvel Day at sea extensions?

Thanks, that’s kinda what I figured!

Star Wars / Marvel Day at sea extensions?

Curious question. I’m sailing the Fantasy in mid April....but the announced SWDAS cruises currently only goes through March. Is there any chance that DCL is going to either extend the SWDAS schedule or change over to a MDAS?

Bob Chapek Confirms Disney Will Overhaul Epcot

Can you explain this? I'm not sure how that is possible - unless the remainder of the WS is converted to imaginary countries mined from Disney IP....and if that's your hope, that's terrifying.

Visitor dies after riding Star Tours

I know Im going to hell for thinking this, but the second thing that went through my mind after feeling sorrow for the man and any family he was with.... ...was whether he was the rebel spy?

    DCL Revises Alcohol Policy

It's not about saving money. As I indicated above, I ended up buying most of my drinks onboard. But I do like to enjoy a few cocktails on my veranda In the afternoon or evening. This enabled me to do so.....

    Itineraries for winter 2018?

Hey everyone.... Does anyone have any clue when DCL will be releasing the Winter 2018 itineraries? My guess, right up until the point where Hurricane Matthew's track indicated a florida landfall, was that they were going to release last Tuesday -- Obviously, if last Tuesday was supposed to be...

    DCL Revises Alcohol Policy

I'm sure I'm going to get a few teetotalers flame me up for this, but I just don't care... I brought just under a half gallon (one of those big 59 ounce bottles) of spiced rum onto my last cruise. I spread it out over various containers throughout my checked baggage. The containers were the...

The Talk, News, Rumors, About Phase 3

Hey Marni (or anyone else), I'm unclear of the distinction between the two trackless systems you're referring to. Can you either explain or point me somewhere that explains it? Thanks!

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I'd love to see some evidence that Epcot - in its opening day incarnation started planning in 1973. Not being argumentative, I'd just like to know your basis for why you said 73. Truth be told, one could make an argument that Epcot began planning long before the legislative package was passed...

    Earfell Tower to be removed

All three of you missed my point. Like I have *clearly* said, I have no doubt, whatsoever, that there are differences between the demolition of these two structures. But the point I was making was that 1 day vs 90, at least to me, seemed odd.....even despite the differences. I was not expecting...

    Earfell Tower to be removed

Sorry, gotta side with Zakk on this one. The hat came down at a true glacial pace. we're talking 2'x7' sections a nite. Whereas, this 130' tower, the reservoir and probably several times more structural steal than the hat -- all came down in a single night - and afaik, all of debris from the...
