    Resort Luggage Carts

During out last stay at Boardwalk Villas there were many luggage carts, but I was not allowed to use one personally. Only Bell Services. I didn't ask, just grabbed one early in the morning the day we were leaving and was promptly told "No".

Which park for virtual reality rides?

Sorry that was meant to be tongue in cheek. If you want VR then Universal is the place to be. At Disney you have Star Tours at Hollywood Studios, Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom, and maybe as a stretch for VR Soarin at Epcot....that's about it that I can think of.

Which park for virtual reality rides?

One would have to go with Universal Studios on this one 😜. They definitely have the lock on the sheer number of VR type rides.

Getting from Epcot to MK after IllumiNations

Uber from an Epcot resort to the Contemporary I think would be the only possible way to maybe do it.

Is Park Hopper Worth the Extra Cost?

As many have said, it depends. We use them daily. Often we go to one park during the day and then to dinner at another park after going back to the hotel in the late afternoon to take a break and clean up. Also when staying at a monorail resort or Epcot resort we use the hoppers to pop in to...

What ride(s) can you absolutely not miss during a Disney trip?

Spaceship Earth. Monorail loop TTC to Epcot and back. The loop around Epcot. Love it.

Where to get rideshare at Epcot

This is what we do and it has worked very smoothly without the chaos of the front gate area.

Contemporary Bay Lake Villa vs. Beach Club Villa?

It takes a long time IMO to get anywhere at WDW regardless of which Disney transportation option you use. You can neutralize this by using Uber. It is cheap, quick, and door to door. There is nothing magical about a bus anyway. We do use the monorail when not in a hurry, to return from...

Trip Report After five years of being spoiled at DLR, WDW is having me return.

This post is pretty much my feelings exactly. Take me back to 1983. But I don't think I know the "real story" on why original Imagination closed. Could we have a sidebar on this?

Looking like a canceled trip for us :(

I would leave as early as possible on Friday. You should be fine. I would just plan to expect more traffic than normal, although people should be evacuated and where they are going by then.

Looking like a canceled trip for us :(

I really think you can get around this with a little extra time and patience. Ultimately this storm is going North and East away from where you are going. I think you will find that outside of "ground zero" of the hurricane hit things will get going pretty quickly. To cancel you would have to...

Looking like a canceled trip for us :(

You are right. You said Tennessee and I wrote Tennessee and I was thinking Kentucky!! I-81 takes you through Eastern Tennessee where you would pick up I-40 to I-75 around Knoxville and then head south on I-75 to Chattanooga, Atlanta and on to Orlando. These roads are much less congested than...

Looking like a canceled trip for us :(

Not to hijack the thread, but would travel insurance cover this situation?? (I have looked at, but never purchased travel insurance personally.) The hurricane is not affecting the destination or point of origin and there are alternate travel options of driving around the impacted area or flying.

Looking like a canceled trip for us :(

You ultimately have to do what you feel comfortable with of course and there is certainly unpredictability with hurricanes. However, I can't envision a situation where I-81 would not be fine to drive and I don't think there is any reason to consider detouring into Tennessee. I'm very...

Looking like a canceled trip for us :(

No way would I cancel. Fly over if you can, or I like this option for driving around. This route should be fine regardless, but surely by Sunday. If you can leave early even better as it will take the edge off the extra mileage. I would take into consideration that hotels inland are often...

Anyone do uber while at a Disney resort?

I keep basically cutting and pasting my thoughts on this into different threads, but Uber is an absolute no-brainer. To me the buses are the least magical transportation and biggest waste of time at WDW. Other than monorail destinations or returns, on our last trip we used Uber to get to parks...

    Renting DVC Points

We used DVC Rental Store for these 2 reasons. It was super easy, no problems, and worked just as if we had made the reservation ourselves direct with Disney for practical purposes. Zero problems and will definitely use them again. Our agent (Bethani) was fantastic, responded quickly and...

For those who drive to WDW or rent a car how often do you go off site?

Zero. We drive, but we park the car and don't get in it while there. We use Uber to get everywhere the monorail can't take us (and even then we will Uber if time is an issue such as making a dining reservation) including Uber for a day at Universal to hit Diagon Alley/Hogsmeade (which we do...

    How many visits?

1980 Disneyland 1984 WDW 1989 WDW 2001 WDW 2013 WDW 2016 WDW Jealous of everyone else's high numbers. I would go annually but we have other things we enjoy doing and I'm unlikely to get my wife there more than every 3 to 4 years. She didn't go as a child and so has none of the nostalgia draw...
