Distinction between "theme park enthusiast" and "Disney Adult"

And that is one persons opinion, good on you. We have fun at all the parks and my memories of the older attractions at EPCOT are fond memories, so glad my kids got to see Ellen. For us EPCOT is still fun, so sorry it's not for you.

Let's be honest...is Carousel of Progress going to last the next five years?

Well I am not so sure about that. YOu may be right, but me being there in july or August when it 95 degree with 3 to 6 kids being an AC haven could be enough. I get your point, but if it's good I could see people doing attractions for 30 minutes, I could. Getting out of the heat even when...

Let's be honest...is Carousel of Progress going to last the next five years?

I am a purist too, the thing is as we get older the our kids get older what a purist means changes. A 10 million dollar Shaman like at Navi in 40 years might be considered junk and what my kids think of being old school purist 40 years from now. Heck, I still love Tiki birds clickity clack...

Let's be honest...is Carousel of Progress going to last the next five years?

Well yeah you are right. I would only hope they would fix it all up. Hanks should go on it and say hey I am not involved unless this is upgraded! The theater itself is actuly near gross.

News Disney World Cast Member unions to begin week of negotiations for wage increases, healthcare costs and more

This is part brag, but part reality of where a kid or starting pesron can go money wise if they dont work at Disney and possibly get a bit of help living with their family to start. Disney need start everyone at 18 today and maybe 20 by next year just to match whats going on everywhere else. 1...

Let's be honest...is Carousel of Progress going to last the next five years?

Here is that article about Tom Hanks taking over after the 50th anniversary is done (End March 2023) or later as narrator of COP. I can't see Hanks' Hanks getting changed in without some type of other upgrades...

Let's be honest...is Carousel of Progress going to last the next five years?

hehe. A CM told me at Guest relations on Saturday that we guests know things before they do, so maybe that bus driver does know.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

Cosmic Rewind cost 500 million, no way a retheme of Splash Mountain cost near that. I know we are not talking roller coaster here, but for those that want to know here are the top 8 most expensive to build coasters...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

It was expensive to make Splash mountain so we would hope the re-theme wouldn't come close to that original cost. Even if a retheme was 10% that would be about 45 million. It cost 190 Million to make Splash Mountain in 1989 or 450 mill in 2023 dollars. FYI the movie Splash Mountain was based...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

Money is the main issue plus dinner shows are tough to run and make money on over time without change. Hoop De Doo is a miracle really. The effort and talent needed to run a dinner show day in and day out is one of the toughest things to do. WDW has always had issue with the Equity actors too.

Let's be honest...is Carousel of Progress going to last the next five years?

The only thing I heard is that Tom Hanks may take over as a new narrator in 2023(the original narrator we hear now died in 1999), but it's nothing firm. The only other thing I see about a movie is the Jeff Kinney said he imagined to include Diary of a Wimpy Kid characters and story lines into a...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

You would not believe this and I can't believe it to be true, but Universal is saying 300 million for Epic Universe. That is IMPOSSIBLE. I bet in the end we find it was 1 billion.Epic Universe is 750 acres and 4 lands for 300 million? I must of read it wrong. And only 4 year start to finish?

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

Unless the actual log flumes are shot how can it take 2 years. And if they need rework the internal swhy not wipe it clean an make something new. Heck, I much rather them bring back a captain Nemo type ride that could fit in that area fine. AN 1890's steam punk ride would be much cooler...

Let's be honest...is Carousel of Progress going to last the next five years?

I wish they would keep it as the oringal idea Walt wanted but do what he would of done in 1964 had they had todays tech and 100 million bucks. That thing could be a people eater. Make the theaters much larger but make it so guests want to go. Give the younger people what they want, 3D, action...

Potential updates to Avatar Flight of Passage

If Soaring and FOP were like the Dolby 3d for Way of Water or even the IMAX version(to my eye the Dolby was better) boy FOP and Soaring would really rock! I still love FOP, but every year we get further from 2017 FOP just seems less and less clear to my eye. Soaring is way too old not to get...

News Walt Disney World to resume sales of Annual Passes (New sales resume April 20, 2023)

I do not believe its a glitch, it is the way works, at least for me in the past. For certain things like renewing a pass the system jumps out of the app, so if we are not signed into the online account through a browser on a phone the system does not see us as signed in and the system will act...
