News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Yeah I know. I'm just moaning because I think this redevelopment is dumb. I sang the Pocahontas song on McAfee once. 😂 I guess this reno could be just lumped into the overall category of Disney creative geography, like how one minute she's in the middle of the Chickahominy and then a...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I like that Liberty Square, which is fashioned after east coast colonial towns will seemingly (based on fuzzy blue sky concept art) look upon snowy, craggy peaks that refect western geomorphology rather than the Appalachians, Green, White, Presidential ranges, etc.

See EPCOT's new generic office park plaza areas + that generic office park hallway / middle school cafeteria looking space. Exhibit A: The recent EPCOT Future World renovation

If WDW actually ran the keel boats, it'd be easier to get over there. Maybe it was just my luck, but I think I managed to find them operating one day out of the past 4 visits.

I don't want to read too much into fuzzy blue sky concept art from D23, but #SAVETHECAVES

Thanks for posting that image and now I can fully see what others marked as Building A in the comparison images. Weird all around.

? You mean the fuzzy A,B,C,D image on the previous page? I can't squint hard enough to figure out what the heck is going on in that image to be honest, let alone figuring out of the labelled image of existing attractions makes jives with the fuzzy concept art😁

So I haven't read through the whole thread, but are there indications that we're losing Tom Sawyer Island?

Any Epcot purists cave into Cosmic Rewind yet?

Define "cave." I've ridden it several times. I've never seen the movies, have no idea what the story is supposed to be behind the ride, but objectively, I think it is one of the most enjoyable roller coasters I've ever been on, and my coaster count is something like 55 or 56. That said, I...

    Masking Tape and the Environment

Always made me chuckle when encountering... "We're eco friendly so here are some horrible, useless drinking straws," and later, "We're eco friendly so now you have to beg for a top for your drink cup and we probably won't give you one." and then noticing that almost every ride funneled me...

I see Iger's still getting the company and shareholders to pay for his bizarre and cringeworthy NBA fantasies.

    What is Tiana's about.....

😁 To be honest, I don't even remember noticing that any of the critters had instruments during the shrunken set.

    What is Tiana's about.....

Aha, so the frogs were the musician(s) the gator was looking for? I finally read the WDWmagic writeup about the ride's story. Maybe we were in one of the boats where we didn't even hear lines that explained what was going on: All I know is I was scratching my head after the drop when we...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

I guess this may be a move by Disney Co to gain customer share from all the current "Sad Beige Baby" parents who may start taking their tykes to WDW within the next couple of years.

    What is Tiana's about.....

This was our impression: Queue: we may be walking into a factory or restaurant, and then we are descending into an Avery Island-like salt mine Now suddenly outside of the salt mine into a loading dock area, we take a boat ride through a veggie garden. Maybe this is a tour of the island, the...

    WDW Resort Gym Specs

No equipment breakout, but scanning youtube to see if all WDW resort gyms have swapped out their equipment, it appears that the best gym on proprty, Saratoga Springs, has remained pretty unchanged. Cardio equipment all appears to be Technogym, but the weight machines remain LF. Video from June...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

We went on property to have a meal at the Polynesian last week, and then took the monorail over to the Grand Floridian for some shopping and walked around a bit. 😵‍💫 😬 🥺 😖 I feel bad for whoever is employed by the Disney Weddings department. That hulking eyesore has got to be hurting sales...
