Ever have regrets after a WDW trip?

Regret is a strong word, but I know what you mean. I have been multiple times to the Walt Disney World Resort. Our first trip in 2001 was a magical disaster of sorts. My dad organized it all and if it wasn't for the fact that I knew the basic layout of the four parks, we'd have been in a real...

Special Fairy Godmother PART 2 (Nov 2007)

Your story of your special Fairy Godmother has really touched my heart. I go to Disney World often and have experienced my share of the Disney magic, but what you have is something truly special. The next time I am at the park, I'll definately look for your SFG in hopes of letting her know just...

A Disneyland for the New Century!

Main Street, U.S.A. My Main Street, U.S.A. would not differ much from what we see now in the existing Disney parks mostly because Main Street is the only area in the original designs that came to full fruition. Once passing under the train station that harbors the Walt Disney World Railroad...

A Disneyland for the New Century!

The Disneyland Resort Note: Since this idea exists in my imagination, the location of this park is undetermined (like it really matters in the first place). My first idea for revamping the Disney theme parks is to go back to the basics and totally reimagine the general layout of the...

    5th gate

I would not be opposed to a fifth gate, but I do agree that it would be nice to spruce up the existing parks (not that I am complaining about their current state): The Magic Kingdom could use a new E-ride, a Fantasyland expansion and maybe even a new restaurant, Epcot also needs a new pavillion...

    Funny Observation regarding Fantasia.

In light of America's tattoo craze, I think that the Nutcracker Suite should be renamed Dance of the Lower Back Tattoos Suite. This is not a slight on the artists that worked on the film. I love Fantasia and the Nutcracker Suite is a real work of art, but if you think about it, everything in...

    Liberty Tree Tavern at Halloween

Does anyone know about the character dinners at Liberty Tree Tavern during the time that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is being celebrated. Just curious. Thanks. :king:

    Ohana Or Chef Mickeys

I have had 'Ohana for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for breakfast and dinner and loved them both. If you have the opportunity, visit both, but if I had to pick, I would choose Chef Mickey's, but only out of sentiment. 'Ohana was lovely and the food was awesome, but the atmosphere at Chef Mickey's...

    Ohana for Dinner

I have never been to 'Ohana for dinner, but the breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto was one of the best meals (with or without the presence of characters) I have ever had at the WDW Resort. If your two year old's opinion is your main concern, I would go for the breakfast. :king:

A Disneyland for the New Century!

In a previous post, I lamented that since the death of Walt Disney, The Walt Disney Company had failed to take any risks as extreme as the original concept of Disneyland, California or the idea of The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Sure, the expansion of the Disney empire overseas was a...

    Best restaurant at DHS?

I have never been to The Hollywood Brown Derby, but the 50's Prime Time Cafe and the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater are first rate in my opinion. If you are on the DDP it is worth it to hit both places. Hollywood & Vine is not bad, but when placed against most other Disney table-service eateries, it...

    Don't You Agree?

I'm not saying that those aren't big risks. I'm just saying that they aren't at the extreme of the California Project, the Florida Project or the advent of the first animated feature film. Personally, I am not out to harshly criticize or trash the company. In my opinion, they are the best...

    Don't You Agree?

Good point. Still, you have to admit that even those feats aren't quite as awesome or risky as the original Disneyland project.

    Picky Child

I do not know exactly how picky your daughter is, but I just got back from WDW and our 'Ohana breakfast was pretty basic. Don't get me wrong, it was awesome and quite frankly one of the best character meals I have ever been too, but unless your daughter has an aversion to things like eggs...

Best time for The Crystal Palace?

Which mealtime is best at The Crystal Palace? I have been to the dinner twice and loved it, but never for breakfast or lunch. Thanks. :king:

Tusker House vs. Boma - Flavors of Africa

On my next trip to WDW, I plan on utilizing the DDP. My question is whether or not I should choose both a lunch or dinner at Tusker House as well as a lunch or dinner at Boma - Flavors of Africa. Should I choose one over the other or do both? Thanks. :king:

Tony's Town Square Restaurant vs. The Plaza Restaurant

Thank you all. I think that I have decided on The Plaza. Thanks to everyone who put in their two cents. :king:

    Yet another question...

Thank you so much for your help. Here is a crude layout of my dining plan. Since I am planning for a 2010 trip, it is subject to change. If it says N/A that means that we would eat something we packed or in the room before we went out for the day (i.e. granola bar, cereal, etc.). Also, do you...

    Yet another question...

I am having a hard time deciding to do the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue or Disney's Spirit of Aloha dinner show or both. Both have been around since the park's opening and even though I have the opportunity to do two dinner shows, I was wondering if it was a smart idea. I am also planning on going...
