    Caribbean beach reviews/tips

Bed size will be ok - DH and I will just be "cozy!" I was reading other reviews of the pirate rooms, and many said they looked old and smelled musty. Do you know if they were recently refurbished? I see they just did the regular rooms, but can't find mention of the pirate rooms.

Can someone else confirm - are the beds in the pirate rooms double or queen?

    Caribbean beach reviews/tips

We are staying in a pirate room in December. Is that area one of the last bus stops? Im wondering if we'd be better off walking to a different stop.

    WDW to universal

We will be at WDW Dec 11-17 and want to spend one day at US. I searched it on Travel Advisor app, and the Mears shuttle was the least expensive, but all comments were negative because of the multiple stops it makes at many resorts. We decided to rent a car for the day at about the same cost per...

2017 Dining Plan Changes: Is the QS now officially overpriced?

For us, it's a win. We usually stay at a mod and get free dining (don't hate me!) my husband isn't a big sweets eater, and frankly the desserts offered with QS meals are small and leave a lot to be desired. And, I'm usually full after the meal, and end up tossing most of the dessert (don't...

    Holiday Wishes Dessert Party

Yes, but the Holiday Wishes show is a bit different and there are perimeter fireworks that go off periodically throughout the show. I'm concerned we wouldn't be able to see them from the terrace. This is my sister's first trip during the holidays - her "bucket list" trip she's calling it - and I...

    Holiday Wishes Dessert Party

Ok. guess I should have read farther before creating this thread, because on the Disney website, it says the parade viewing area is by the flag pole. But, I have a further question: After the parade, you are escorted to Tomorrowland Terrace for the dessert party and viewing Holiday Wishes. I...

    Holiday Wishes Dessert Party

http://www./2016/06/holiday-wishes-fireworks-dessert-party-at-walt-disney-world-now-available-for-reservations/ It says that there is a special parade viewing on Main Street. Any ideas where this would be?

From the OS: Gator drags child into Seven Seas Lagoon

I have nothing in my heart but profound grief for everyone involved. Reading through this thread, as a "northerner" who has no experience with gators or crocs besides our local zoo, I have learned quite a bit this morning. I remember my very first trip to WDW in '99 with my preteen kids, and we...

    Orlando Gunman Scouted WDW ...

Well, I've heard on several different news reports that his wife said he was scouting both DS and Pulse. She's saying she was trying to talk him out of it, but she's being investigated, and they haven't ruled out arresting her.

    Orlando Gunman Scouted WDW ...

We don't have metal detectors or guards in our district, but all outside doors are locked all of the time - employees have to swipe their badge and visitors have to be buzzed in through the front door. And we are mandated to have a certain number of fire, tornado, and lockdown drills each year...

According to his wife (who should be in jail btw) he was there for more than an ice cream http://insider.foxnews.com/2016/06/13/orlando-terrorist-omar-mateen-scouted-disney-world-potential-target-report-says

    Orlando Gunman Scouted WDW ...

That's ok. Since Sandy Hook they've most likely been practicing lockdown drills in school several times a year. That was always fun - explaining to my second graders why we have to practice this without scaring the bajeezis out of them. Sad.

    Orlando Gunman Scouted WDW ...

I totally agree. But I wonder what the publicity will be like if they don't set up security check points at DS? I'm wondering, as ridiculous as it would be, if they will be pressured into it to stop people from saying "you knew DS was a target and you did nothing" if, God forbid, something were...

Everyone's Best and Worst Dining Experiences?

This is harder than you'd think! We have certain favorites for certain reasons, and it doesn't always have to do with food, if that makes any sense! For instance, one of our must-dos is Crystal Palace for breakfast - not because of the food (it's normal breakfast faire) but because we absolutely...

    Candlelight Processional Dining

In the evenings you will see large groups of kids in the parks. And, yes, they mostly stay at the All Star resorts and I think one mod.
