News Park attendance showing significant softness heading into the Fall 2018

This news while the economy is strong gives me hope they are inching perilously close to the tipping point... Fingers crossed. Of course, nothing will change until they see if Stars Wars meets/exceeds expectations or under-performs. Again, I hate to be the Debbie Downer, but here's hoping for...

News Park attendance showing significant softness heading into the Fall 2018

I hate to be so cynical, but Parks and Resorts has been taking advantage of WDW's goodwill and customer loyalty for some time... And I look forward to the day that catches up to them and they are forced to seriously rethink their strategy. That will be a good day.

Grand Avenue and Baseline Tap House

It would be nice if they'd bring a mini Osborne light display to Grand Ave.

Disney confirms 'Frozen' makeover coming to Epcot's Norway Pavilion

That's true... But the A&E meet and greet existing only at Epcot will hopefully pull "princesses" from Fantasyland. I realize many don't want that to happen, but the constant crush of people at MK combined with the open spaces of Epcot make this a potentially good match.

Disney confirms 'Frozen' makeover coming to Epcot's Norway Pavilion

A Frozen attraction might fit better in Disney's CineMagic Kingdom ;)... But, if there's a park that has the capacity to handle more guests, it's Epcot. I sure hope it relieves some pressure off Magic Kingdom.

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Maybe they can project the "Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival" off the water fountains! That would keep the masses satisfied. Actually, I shouldn't speak too soon, sounds like they might truly consider playing The Jungle Book and Disneynature clips in that theater.

    Staggs resigns

Iger will continue to pour money into films. And he's not wrong to cultivate those IPs. From each IP spawns numerous potential revenue streams. The unfortunate thing for us as fans of Walt Disney World is that Parks and Resorts is the low hanging fruit. Labor is always the easiest expense to...

    Staggs resigns

Methinks Shanghai is a disaster of epic proportions. Iger must be clutching. Staggs is his scapegoat and the on-stage cuts they've made at WDW (which is their most resilient property) are at near never-before-seen levels because of it. All in the name of keeping quarterly earnings reports...

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Agreed... Credit where credit's due, and everything we've seen coming out of RoL, and DAK in general, doesn't look like it will disappoint.

    Small World Storymaker Finale

It's a cute touch, 3+ years in the making. Say, are several giant ceiling tiles still missing?

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

Yes, as in fewer people even bothering with Epcot right now, if I heard correctly. It seems counterintuitive, but I'm pretty sure that's what he said.

    The Spirited 11th Hour ...

If Parks & Resorts is the "old reliable" they can suck dry when other units are lagging, as some have suggested, why would they have any interest in breaking it off?

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

Idk if it's been mentioned, but Len said on a recent podcast that they've seen a much larger than anticipated drop in overall wait times in Epcot since Soarin' went down. It just speaks to the weakness and vulnerability of that park. It needs so much more than a Frozen overlay. It's essentially...

Disney Survey on implementing a $15 resort fee

That's a good point, this move would potentially be a boon to third-party point rental businesses.

Disney Survey on implementing a $15 resort fee

I've been moved to join this forum in large part by what's going on in WDW right now. We, as loyal patrons, are not only taken for granted, but actually taken advantage of in order to prop up other lagging aspects of Parks & Resorts. Thank you sir, may I have another? That said, count me in the...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

My kids love the Speedway, but I absolutely agree it's a major problem in need of fixing. Nothing says transition from Tomorrowland to Fantasyland like wafting fossil fuel fumes. I'm surprised the Imagineers have allowed it for so long.

    Possible Frontierland expansion

CoP would fit perfectly in Future World. So would a "people mover." There might be a safety issue since the Monorail also runs through Future World, but it would bring a small piece of Walt's original vision of EPCOT to the park. As a matter of fact, IASW would fit nicely somewhere within...
