In my opinion, they'll stop with the remakes altogether but that probably has more to do with how Snow White or Lilo and Stitch will perform. I can see them canceling Hercules (which seems to have production issues considering how stagnant it has been) and any other remake to their classics...

It's very rare that kids/family movies receive below A- .

I like the original film, the Rhythm of the Pride Lands album and the Broadway musical. Everything else from this franchise is either mediocre or bad (yes I'm including the cheap dtv sequels too).

They are not photorealistic animals. No one criticized Zootopia about this as well.

It's a lose lose situation. Characters lacking facial expressions like in the remake make for an emotional uninvolving movie, but putting human facial expressions on photorealistic animals looks ridiculous. If Disney hadn't despised hand drawn animation nowadays, they could have done a hand...

The more they add to this world the less it makes sense.

Disney released the "We're Back" scene from the movie: No Islander except Moana's father has tattoos. That wasn't the case in the original film. I guess it's expensive or time consuming to apply the tattoos.

It might not outsource it's animation, but you can bet that the Vancouver employees make less than those who are at Burbank.

Agreed, which is why I don't think about Kiara as Simba and Nala's daughter because that cub at the end of the original film was obviously meant to be a son.

It's really the best animated movie of 2024 and probably the best one in years!

I actually prefer Frozen 2 to Moana 2 and the original Moana is my favorite Disney CGI film.
