    Attraction height and age restrictions

Agree to disagree. 4 and 6 is way too young to assume they'd be responsible enough to be alone.

    What did you do?

You've officially inspired me to go purchase the garmin. That is SWEET. Not only is that awesome for runs, but it would be fantastic for tracking your day in the parks, and a lot of other places.

    Wine and Dine Half-Marathon

Yeah, if the WS pavilions are open I'm hoping for Maelstrom and el Rio, if nothing else. I could probably do without the movies, as they'll likely put me to sleep at that time of night.

    Wine and Dine Half-Marathon

Well, the after party tickets are now available. Anyone called to find out how much they are yet? I'd do it now, but it's 1:24 in the morning. EDIT: Nevermind, just found out. $35 PER TICKET! SERIOUSLY?!? Ridiculous. This was the price of the 13k after party ticket, as well, and they had...

Thinking about doing the Disney Half/Full Marathon?

I'd be into that thread, for sure. The more I think about it lately, the more I want to do something nuts and sign up for the goofy. My longest race to date is a 13k, and I couldn't run the whole thing. I really think I want to challenge myself to the extent of just being able to tackle...

Monorail beam cleaning in Epcot - looks fantastic

Wow! Shocking how much better it looks. Hopefully, it can stay that way for an extended period somehow.

Walt Disney World to build 2,000-room Hotel: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Yeah, $20,000 PLUS your yearly dues for those 50 years. That's a LOT more than $20,000. Not to mention you'll be getting a studio at best if you buy in for only $20,000. You'll need more points for more space. It gets complicated, but people who think they've had the DVC "pay for itself" in a...

    Wine and Dine Half-Marathon

Yeah, it's a shame the people in my party that aren't running will have to pay extra to get in. For what will be available, the tickets better not be any more than about $20. Heck, each runner should get 1 extra ticket for free with these offerings.

Joint Care Supplements, what do you use?

I'm having trouble finding where to buy the flex caps online. I went to idealhealth.com, but I can't find them on their site. Any help?

    What did you do?

I didn't do crap today, but I ran a 5k on Sunday morning...24:59 (8min 2.5sec mile). Believe it or not, this is my best time yet! Maybe if I actually put some effort into training I could knock that down a bit. I'm about 10 pounds lighter than last time I ran, so I'm sure that's where the...

    Thanks, Steve!

Just wanted to make sure Steve knew how much we appreciate this new section of the forums! Now all of us WDW runners can find each other and discuss our love for running in WDW with ease. Thanks again, Steve!

    TRAMP - Semper Fi

Tramp simply had a way of being straight without ever being mean or rude. On an internet forum it's a very hard thing to do, and very few have the character to pull it off. Rich did that and much more. He touched virtual lives in a very real way. So long, Rich. You'll be missed.

    Discovery Island - Worth it?

So...what are you waiting for? I think you should definitely swim for it! :D

    Discovery Island - Worth it?

Not to mention the fact that there are gators in the water, and also likely in the swampy area that IS the current Discovery Island. Risk death for a quick look? Not me.

    Wine and Dine Half-Marathon

Ah, the kid gets to pick! Nice. Well, our young one is less than a year, so it's still our decision...for now. I'm sure we'll end up at the Contemporary. We have a really hard time passing it up. We'll have a car, so we aren't worried about the transportation. Welcome to those of you...

Cantina de San Angel construction photo update

Looks like, from the first photo, that the part of the restaurant that's over the water will be enclosed, and then a sort of "gazebo-like" area will be open air. You can see on the right where there are the black poles, and then on the left, regular aluminum. My guess is that the black poles...

    Wine and Dine Half-Marathon

Yeah, WL is on our radar, too, but I'm guessing we'll end up staying in the Tower over at the Contemporary. As much as I LOVE the Wilderness, we have a very hard time passing up a balcony overlooking the Magic Kingdom. I'll make sure to crack the sliding glass door in our room when we come...

    Wine and Dine Half-Marathon

Yeah, I can see how some think that. For me, the 10k and the 13k were too close together. I ran one, but not both. With this new "race weekend" I can do both the 5k (which includes the MNSSHP ticket I would've purchased anyway), and the Half Marathon in the same day. I'm not sure I can...

    Attraction height and age restrictions

I gotta say, you have to be pretty far from intelligent to even consider letting your 6 year old ride ANYTHING by themselves. If any common sense is used whatsoever, Steve's "no height requirement" comment is correct.
