Significant Changes to Whispering Canyon Cafe

Hopefully the hijinks are back by October, my wife and I have never been to Whispering Spings but we we made an ADR for breakfast this upcoming trip. If they aren't back I suppose we will cancel the ADR

Resort Arcades, is it time for them to go?

I have this thought every once and awhile, when we are at WDW we always notice the arcades are always empty. We were also watching some of TheTimTracker resort tour videos on youtube recently, and every time he goes into the arcades they are empty. Maybe I'm wrong, but, it seems like these...

    Regular Disney goers...

We often talk about trying different resorts, but I think my wife would be happy just staying at Boardwalk Inn forever. We have stayed at Boardwalk 4 times, AKL twice, and Port Orleans Riverside once, it tends to come down to price, and convenience of what we want to do most, and BWI has always...

    Wilderness Lodge, tips and tricks?

My wife, 1 year old (at time of trip), and I will be staying at Wilderness Lodge for the first time this fall; October to be exact. We tend to travel down to WDW for F&W/Dapper Day/Halloween, this year we will unfortunately miss Dapper Day, but be there for F&W and Halloween. My wife works in...

Which Signature Restaurants Should We Book?

I think Jiko has the best food in WDW with the exception of Victoria and Albert's. The main drawback of Jiko is the location, AKL can be kind of a pain to get too. California Grill is probably the best setting, the food is still very good. We've been to Monsieur Paul a few times and it's...

Food & Wine special dinner at Hotel restaurants

Has anybody had any experiences with these special Food & Wine meals? What were they like? Are they worth it? We are thinking of returning this Fall and would love to experience one of these meals.

    Which Character breakfasts to choose?

Count me as another vote for Tusker House, we go every trip, and really never need to do another character meal. The food is great, the the safari themed characters are a lot of fun too. Tusker House has some unique food offerings as well as same more normal ones for the picky eaters.

First time with a kid (only 6 months old)

Well, as it turns out, several women in my wife's office will be going on maternity leave during these dates, so she was asked if we could change things. So now it looks like we might be going in October with a 1 year old

First time with a kid (only 6 months old)

This is great, we live in NYC so she is already used to noise and crowds, if anything wdw will be a relaxing change of pace for her, maybe we can get a recording of the 4 am garbage truck or 3 am arguing drunks to keep her calm. They don't get too hot in the ergo in Florida? That's my concern...

First time with a kid (only 6 months old)

After several other non-WDW vacation plans fell through, we decided to just go to WDW next spring with our new baby, she will be only 6 months old during the trip. We settled on staying at Beach Club which we received a group rate for Dapper Day, over POR thinking the ability to walk to Epcot...

    Strollers, is theft a concern?

We are debating whether to bring our own stroller or renting one. I have only heard of one instance of stroller theft and it has my wife concerned. That being said I would prefer not to rent one of the hard plastic ones from Disney.

Trip Report Melting! Wilderness Lodge in August

I really want to stay at Wilderness Lodge, my wife doesn't think it's worth it. She loves the Epcot resorts since we can walk to 2 parks, can't say I blame her. WL just looks amazing to me.

    Anyone Not Want Online Check-In?

The first couple times we did online check in I hated it, I have learned to love it. A big part of my mind changing is we usually arrive between 12:00 am - 1:00 am and heading straight to our room is preferable to anything else.

    What Should We Do?

Yeah, we realize the trip will be lost on her, we might get some cute pictures. We are definitely doing it for ourselves.

Is it worth visiting HS during the Christmas season?

I know my wife and I hated Jingle Bell Jing Bam. It's worth stopping by HS for ToT, Rock N Rollercoaster, TSMM, and for me personally Indiana Jones Stunt Show and the Muppets

Showing up early for a dinner reservation

We've had mixed results with checking in early. Half the time you sit there and wait until your reservation time, the other half they seat you right away. September is also Food and Wine season so Epcot will be busier than you might expect.

    What Should We Do?

My wife and I are contemplating what we should do for our first vacation with our daughter, she will be 6 months old when we travel (April 2018). The choices are between a 7 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise with a Star Wars day at sea aboard the Fantasy, or a 10 night 9 day trip to WDW getting a...

    How young is too young?

Wow! thanks for all the replies. It seems like people are over the map on this. I'll tell you this, nothing will keep me away from WDW the year Star Wars Land opens.

    How young is too young?

After 7 trips to Disney World, 2 to Disneyland, and 1 day in Disneyland Paris as adults without children, my wife an I our expecting our first child. We have gone back and forth on how old this kid should be before we take another Disney trip. One thought is when they are out of diapers, and...
