Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

We wanted to see Carsland light up so we headed that way. Took a couple pics and just hung out until the lights came on. There was a cute ceremony but we high tailed it to Radiator Springs Racers. We jumped in the single rider line and were there in no time. Jordan and I actually got to ride...

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

Next we headed around to the swinging wheel of death. Just kidding, it wasn’t that bad. Lots of laughs even though Lauryn refused to ride it. We checked out the candy store and rode the Emotional Whirlwind. Jordan and I got in the single rider line for the Incredicoaster but as soon as we...

I forgot to share this picture from the restroom. Gotta love Disney details!

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

Upon reading Lamplight Lounge’s menu none of us seemed impressed. We decided to give it a try. We had the potato skins for an appetizer which Lauryn had suggested because she had them before. They are not your typical potato skins but they were delicious. Jordan and I decided to share the...

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

I agree Max. It was cute but wouldn't wait 45 minutes again. It just happened to be enough time before our lunch reservation. Thanks for following along.

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

We waited about 45 minutes and rode the Monsters Inc ride. We had reservations at Lamplight Lounge so we headed to Pixar Pier next.

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

As we were leaving the hotel there was a group walking towards us. The 3 adults has masks on but the little girl didn’t. Lauryn immediately recognized them. It was the Irwins. Crikey we couldn’t believe it!!🐊. We didn’t want to bother them, so no pics.

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

We spent our first 2 nights at the Hilton Home 2 Suites. Lauryn was able to get 2 nights at the Disneyland Hotel with her discount so we had to pack up and change hotels on Thursday. We ubered over and dropped off our luggage and headed to DCA.

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

We mobile ordered corndogs for dinner and joked that Lisa’s birthday meals consisted of mini corn dogs for lunch and corn dogs for dinner. 😂. We would make it up to her the next day. I am pretty sure we headed over to jungle cruise next and it began to rain while we were in the queue. I had...

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

My timeline is a little fuzzy because I didn’t take pics of all our stops but we seemed to knock out quite a few rides at night. We rode Roger Rabbit, Nemo’s submarine, Storybook Canal boats. I noticed the cast members at DL did not give good directions or even any directions in some...

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

Ride lines had peaked by afternoon so we decided to check out the recently opened DVC lounge. We took a break from the crowds, had snacks and drinks. They have a beautiful, great smelling bathroom. Something that Epcot’s lounge doesn’t. One point DL.

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

We tried to find a spot to catch the parade but people were already camped out. We ended up in front of the castle. It was a bit away but a good enough view. Here I go comparing again but Festival of Fantasy tops DL in my opinion. Some of the floats were beautiful but I didn’t care for the...

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

We spent a little time in Toontown. I like how the characters wander around. But they can cause a bit of a commotion when the kids try to get pics with them.

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

We headed to Daisy’s Cafe for lunch. It had recently opened and we wanted to check it out. We all had the pepperoni pop overs and Lisa had Minnie’s mini corn dogs. It was a decent meal. One thing I found is the lack of quick service and sit down dining in Disneyland. So one point WDW.

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

This is a throwback to WDW’s toontown. When our kids were little they loved Mickey and Minnie’s houses so that’s where we headed next.

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

So we headed towards Fantasyland and our first ride was It’s a small world. I loved that you board outside and must admit loved the DL version better. 1 point DL. The addition of the Disney characters really adds a nice touch.

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

It was more crowded than I expected. I had been checking wait times the previous 2 weeks and was hoping for low times but it seems they were higher the week we were there.

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

Our first look at the castle and we were unimpressed. It seems tiny compared to Walt Disney World. So we started keeping score…1 point WDW.

Trip Report Mothers/Daughters trip to Disneyland

We headed over to Disneyland park. I knew the parks were close but the are really, really close.
