So this is my Magic Kingdom. It's more of an ariel sketch than map, but it works.

I'd be glad to. Just give me a list of all the attractions (catagorized by land), restaurants, character meet n greets, etc. and I'll draw it out. I'll take a picture of my Magic Kingdom and post it so you can see how I do my maps.

It's kind of interesting that you are doing imagineering for your own Disney complex. I too am doing this, but for a Disney in the Caribbean or some place nice a warm. I've even drawn up maps for how I want all of the parks to be laid out and such. It is quite fun and keeps me busy!

I assume you would have Splash Mountain? And also the Victoria Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island?

It doesn't have to be heated to the extent of a swimming pool (75°-80° F), but just enough to keep it unfrozen. Best guess would be around 60° or just have some antifreeze in the water.

I would like to be in charge of anything regarding the railroad in MK and the monorail system! And maybe to solve the issue of Jungle Cruise in the winter, since you don't necessarily get wet on it, if the waters are heated, the wouldn't freeze and the ride could be outside and stay open year...

New trains in the "near" future. Near meaning in the next 10 years of something. The monorail line just needs to close for a whole month so all of the trains can be overhauled and any maintanance done to the beams.

Phase 1 closure now for MK

Phase 2, 3, 4, etc. probably just correlates to the different closure levels of the old system. We will probably find out later today what at least a phase 2 and maybe phase 3 closure amounts to.

It can always be worse, but the wait times today are/will be pretty insane. The thought of going to Disney World (particularly MK) on Christmas Day is cool, but the reality of it is not.

I'm just thinking that they might close the ride for a week or so to do this. Maybe Disney has yet to announce that they are going to do a bit of a refurb on the ride when they update the preshow and finale scenes. I was just speculating what they could do. But as for changing the scenes during...

A general refurbishment of GMR will probably happen when they are making the changes to the pre-show and finale scenes. I would imagine that to make these changes, they would have to close the ride and that the rest of the ride will get some TLC if the ride is down to make the changes.

Every time I've been on the ride, the bridge has been working. It scared my friend crapless the first time he ever went on it lol.

I was scared for a while that this would be next to go. But now I'm really excited for the changed to GMR. Even though it's just to the pre-show and finale, it's a step in the right direction for this ride. Now will GMR be closed for refurbishment to make these changes or will they happen overnight?

No results of the test have been made public yet. Speculation was that the FP only test was to see if the new track for TSM (rumored for Soundstage 1) should be reserved for FP only. The test was only for those 3 days and is now reopened to everyone.
