    Disney Monorails go Officially Automated?

The upgrade to automation has been going on for years and it isn't new news that they're trying to automate it. Parts of the system have been shut down during the middle of the day but it is still operating at park open and park close. To entirely close the monorail system for an entire day...

    Disney Monorails go Officially Automated?

The difference is that those are attractions and the monorail is a mass transit system. The other thing is that you can close an attraction for an extended period of time to work on issues with the automation. Again, the monorail is a mass transit system that cannot be closed for an extended...

WDW Railroad closing for a short period in April

I sure hope they found the Lilly Belle under a pile of pallets lol. Of course, every time the railroad goes down for refurb, the first thing that pops up on every train forum everywhere is speculation over the Lilly Belle and if she is coming back this time.

Return of the Lilly Belle engine

We still anxiously wait for Lilly's return, but as for her being back before this summer, that looks unlikely. Anyone with any more details on the beloved Lilly Belle, pleas post for the maybe 1 person other than me watching this thread!

Disney Kingdom resort Toronto: Open Brainstorming

This is related to Toronto DisneySea... If we are concerned with cold weather and water attractions in Disney Kingdom, would it be a concern to have a whole park based on aquatic animals? It would have to truly be a summer only park with a large enough area for all of the animals to be inside...

Blizzard Beach - 20 years old today

I've never been to BB but I've been to TL probably a dozen times. I personally don't think the waterparks (or at least TL) need anything more. The attractions are wonderful, they have a great amount, as well as a great variety of slides and such.

Return of the Lilly Belle engine

Originally a 5th engine was brought up from the Yucatan Peninsula, but it was deemed to be in too poor shape when it was assessed at the Tampa Shipyard.

What do you mean by the coaches were removed from the tracks?

No More New color scheme Buses at WDW

I really like the silver ones too... I do understand why they aren't adding more articulated buses though. They're extrodinarily expensive and do require lots of turning room so they don't go over a curb and lots of logistical stuff.

Return of the Lilly Belle engine

Another update for whoever might actually be looking at this forum... Currently, the opening show still uses Lilly's coaches, but only car 3 doesn't have a side panel. Normally (and how it has been ever since she became the show train) her cars 2, 3, and 4 don't have side panels with 1 and 5...

Return of the Lilly Belle engine

The Lilly Belle at WDW is one of the engines on the railroad. It's not that she is more special or more important than the others (although she is my personal favorite), she has just been away from the railroad for many years and we anxiously await her return. A second part to my update above...

Return of the Lilly Belle engine

On the contrary, I emailed Michael Broggie the other day for a status update and he said that Lilly won't be back for while... She's been gone for like 6 years so I don't know how much longer it'll be. His answer also sounded like the typical answer you get when you ask anyone at Disney about...

Disney Kingdom resort Toronto: Open Brainstorming

I think that the moats around the castle should have water jets and fountains so they can be utilized with Wishes

Disney Kingdom resort Toronto: Open Brainstorming

Depending on the location of Pirates and its proximity to the railroad, there wouldn't have to be a drop. The drop is only for it to go under the railroad. We could easily just have the railroad go behind the Pirates building...

    Monorail Update January 2015

And lets not forget that the Tokyo DL monorail is not 26 years old. It opened in 2001. Totally incomparable to each other.

    Monorail Update January 2015

The first thing I said is "Holy ****. Why can't they at least install carpet straight?!?!" Aside from that, I love the design of it and I'm surprised they hadn't come up with an idea like this sooner. And I agree, why can't the pink stripe inside the car match the color stripe on the outside.

A Whole New World: My Vision for a Renovated Walt Disney World

I love your ideas! My comment would be the monorail fleet would have to grow a lot to provide decent service to all of the parks. I also would suggest that you have the HS monorail line have a station at Epcot and use Epcot as a location for a second TTC.
